Double Diamond Inn — Hotel in Malay

Leila is a kind, and helpful host. Staying at this very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel allowed us to have more budget to enjoy the rest of the islands food and activities. If you aren't familiar with the island Google maps INCORRECTLY gives round about directions to the beach from its location, which almost caused us to cancel. In reality it is a 2 minute walk to the beach, a very nice part of the beach too with good restaurants and shaved ice. Going the other way away from the beach 2 or 3 minutes walk leads you to the main road of the island where for 20 pesos you can get to any station via the e trikes in a few more minutes. Being right in the middle of the stations allowed us to get to station 1 and 3 fast, making it an ideal location. The Double Diamond is managed by a husband and wife team that have a great attitude and very large smiles. There are only two rooms which makes the hotel very intimate. It has an air conditioner, King bed, oscillating fan, TV, fridge, kettle, full private bathroom with hot water, vanity. The room size is approximately 6 by 4 meters so there is heaps of space. The price is very reasonable compared to other places in the area. When describing the comfortable King bed, the husband of the duo team said "the bed if good for fighting" as he was explaining the room.||||The location is no more than a 5 minute walk from Boat Station 2 and easily less than a minute to the beach front. ||||It's not a resort, but its a more than fantastic place to get some good rest during the holiday, however...
