Ging Ging Home Tourist Inn, located in the heart of Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol, offers a convenient location just a short two-minute walk from the beach. While the inn's location is its strong point, there are some considerations to keep in mind.
The rooms at Ging Ging Home Tourist Inn are described as rustic, and it's worth noting that they could benefit from some updates. During my stay, I found that the water supply worked, but there was no provision for hot water, which can be a preference for many travelers. Additionally, it's important to mention that no toilet paper is provided in the rooms.
One aspect that may appeal to budget-conscious travelers is the affordability of the inn, especially given its proximity to Alona Beach. However, it's essential to manage expectations, especially when it comes to the room's amenities.
One point of caution is the feedback regarding the hotel's laundry service, which was described as unacceptable. It may be wise to consider alternative options for laundry needs.
In summary, Ging Ging Home Tourist Inn can be an option for those looking for a budget-friendly stay close to Alona Beach. The prime location is its standout feature, but guests should be prepared for basic accommodations and make alternative arrangements for certain services...
Read moreFirstly, we turned up at the guesuthouse to the staff confused about our booking for 4 nights. ||||This was quickly resolved because they had a room available, (on this occasion.). However, we should have known with the initial lack of organisation, we should have opted to stay elsewhere.||||The room was dirty and unprepared. There were lots of cobwebs, stains on the walls and bed sheets, and the beds were full of bugs. There were no bins in the toilet, or bedroom. The place was infested with mosquitoes and ants. No mosquito net- Or hooks to hang up your own net; meant we were bitten heavily each night. The room smelt of the toilet, even when the toilet had not been in use. ||||Ironically, the guest house also run a laundry service for the Alona area, therefore, it leaves no excuse for the bedsheets to be that dirty. ||||It was hard to identify who were staff and who weren't. Quite often there would be noone in the reception area. In addition, when staff were located they weren't particularly welcoming, and at times rude. We checked out and they didn't even say 'goodbye, or 'thanks for coming', and just ignored us.||||Out of all the budget travel places (including hostels) in the Phillipines this was the most expensive, and the dirtiest...
Read moreI give this place 5 stars because of the price and the location. I wouldn't stay here with my wife because I love her! But for me alone, it was fine. The bed was basically a board with a 3-inch foam mattress and the room was more like a shack. There was no hot water, toilet seat, bidet or tissue. But there are shops up the road where you can buy a can of Raid for the roaches, some toilet tissue, wipes (if you need them) and soap.
I'm not a diva, I'm a diver and this place is so close to Alona Divers and the beach that the convenience and the price were all that mattered.
The aircon and wifi worked, the staff were perfectly nice to me and there is a juice bar...
