This hotel caught me by surprise. Having had the worst resort stay at Anda White Beach Resort the night before. We had to leave early the next day and look for an immediate lodging.|Left with no hotel reservation. We were forced to scour for any decent hotel who’s willing to accommodate 6 people. We decided to go to Panglao instead. First of all, it’s so hard to find lodging in Bohol without prior reservations. We were turned down by most of the high end hotels like Bluewater Beach Resort, Hennan and BE Grand Resort are fully booked. We visited some other hotels in the area but they are either substandard or has no strong air conditioning.| Coming from a colder place like Chicago. All we wanted is a decent, clean hotel with good working air conditioner. Out of desperation, we stumbled into this tiny hotel with lots of charm, the Twin Tides Hotel in Panglao. At first glance, you can tell that the Hotel is new, modern looking with an all glass panel entrance hall. We walked in hoping to survey the area and available rooms. The lobby is modern, spacious with lots of sitting area overlooking the bar. You can tell that there’s a small pool in the back of the hotel which is a plus. The receptionist is pleasant and accommodating. They told us that they have available rooms ready. It was a relief. They offered us the Executive Triple Deluxe room. When they showed us the room, immediately I decided we found the right lodging for us. It modern, spacious and clean with a good working air conditioner. And on top of it all, they offered us 30% discount each for the 2 rooms we booked. We only stayed one night but that was our most comfortable hotel stay in Bohol. The pool / jacuzzi was very relaxing. We stayed there for hours to cool off while drinking beer. They have modern amenities inside the room like a good working air conditioner, separate sink, bathroom and shower with an exhaust and nice comfy beds.|Also they offer complimentary breakfast which is kind of nice. The hotel has a vibrant atmosphere, cozy and relaxing. It’s close to a lot of restaurants in the area and it’s only walking distance. Transportation is not an issue even at night. We had dinner close to the hotel, a newly opened Korean restaurant. Lots of options for hotel guests who likes dining out. Overall, a great hotel experience at an affordable price and convenient...

Me and my partner stayed in Twin Tides Panglao for 4 days. There were many things we noticed that could’ve improved a guests’ stay.
Absence of cold water / ice - it’s too hot outside and I even had nosebleed due to extreme heat. My partner and I asked for cold water and they are unable to provide any. We asked if there’s ice and they said they don’t have any. Having access to cool potable water is basic for a hotel to provide to their guests.
Room is too warm - Like what I mentioned, it’s too hot outside to the point where their rooms take a while to cool down. Their AC units are too small for the size of their room.
Key Cards - Since their room takes a while to cool down, we decided to leave our keycards inserted in the card slot of our room to keep the AC on. We asked if they can provide an extra key card and said they only provide one which is such a hassle because each time we get back to our hotel, we had to ask a staff to unlock our hotel door. It would be better if we’re provided with a pair of key cards (one to keep inside our room and the other one we can carry with us).
Pillows - there are only two pillows for a deluxe queen size bed. Sleeping is not as good because of this. We asked for extra pillows and they said they do not have any which is such a let down.
Overall, I would not recommended this hotel despite it’s advantage of location. It has a lot pf potential but it does not live up to what’s published on the site. Staying here is very uncomfortable. While the staff were relatively nice to talk to, I believe they lacked training and resources to even make sure these concerns are addressed on time to ensure the guests stay are worthwhile. This place needs a lot of improvement, both the facilities...
Read moreWe checked in around after dinner in this hotel with no prior reservation. Thankfully they had an available room. But I do not recommend this hotel not until they make improvements. ||So first, i’ll start with the pros:|- Location is good. Right in the center of panglao’s busy main street and an easy walk down to alona beach|- breakfast food was good|- Room size was a little too small for a group of 3 but we managed|- not beach front but has a small dipping pool|||Cons:|- Poor service. Receptionist seemed annoyed with our questions re: rates and available rooms upon arrival. It’s like she didn’t want to be disturbed by our sudden arrival. |- Shower has poor water pressure. It took a long while to shower as water flow was really slow. Not good when you’re in a hurry. bathroom is small especially for tall people. The shower head was dirty and rusty. |- Lobby was poorly lit and no a/c upon arrival. |- During breakfast, two of their staff were having a casual conversation ALOUD re: their personal lazada online orders. Read: Receptionist and waitress were talking so loudly with each other. Receptionist was at the receiving area/lobby while the waitress was in the bar. It was not a pleasant breakfast. They didn’t have the decency to keep their voices low so as the guests, us included, could have a quiet/pleasant breakfast.|- There was a foul smell coming from the toilet and including the sink. |- The sink was located beside my bed;the cupboard below it was dirty. (Check pics)|- They could improve the service and training of their staff.|- I don’t find it of good value in general (personal opinion based...
