Sushihan in Alona, Panglao, is a small, quaint sushi house that truly delivers on flavor and value. The ambiance is cozy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed dining experience. We started with the Spicy Tuna Alona sushi, which had just the right amount of kick, thanks to the special sauce that complemented the fresh tuna beautifully. Next, we tried the Cheesy Salmon Roll, which was absolutely delightful. The blend of salmon and cream cheese was perfect, creating a rich and satisfying flavor. A standout dish was the Ebi Tempura, which came with six pieces—more than the usual five pieces you get at other Japanese restaurants, making it a great deal. The service was excellent; the crew was very helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The prices are also very reasonable considering the quality and taste of the food. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Sushihan and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Good quality but a bit pricey. California Maki doesn’t have enough Tobiko, Kani and Mango. Taste of the shari rice is almost spot on Wasabi lacks kick or pungency. Sashimi freshness is good and cut is thick. The dish comes with gari and chopped lettuce (no dressing) on the side. Tempura is perfectly crispy with no or slight hint of MSG which is good for me. The sauce lacks depth and doesn’t come with daikon. So I mixed in the gari from the sashimi to add flavor. The sake is served chilled to my liking. Service is okay but we’re the only diner in the restaurant so I can’t really comment on the efficiency. Dining area looks clean. We sat at the bar with street view for better vibes.

Easily the best sushi in Bohol! And at a very fair price. There’s a reason we’ve gone back twice already this week and it’s only their first week open. The rolls are tasty and creative. I actually really enjoyed the deep fried ones but honestly everything is delicious 🤤 you can’t go wrong here. I can’t wait to try the sashimi and the rest of the menu and highly recommend going here while you can still get a seat! If you’ve tried their sister restaurant Sisa, then you know this is gonna be good. Until next time, Salamat Sushihan!

We visited this sushi restaurant twice during our trip as a party of six. While the food was undeniably tasty and the presentation was impressive, we unfortunately had a concerning experience the second time. A few members of our group became very sick a few hours after dining.

This was incredibly disappointing, especially since we initially enjoyed the food and ambiance. Management really needs to investigate this issue, as incidents like this can ruin someone’s vacation and damage the restaurant’s reputation.

It’s a shame because this place has potential, but food safety must be a top priority. Until this is addressed, I’d advise diners to proceed...
