Very nice atmosphere and decor. It's stylish yet not overly fancy. Lighting is great and that creates a comfy and warm feeling. Unfortunately the food and service was a disappointment. We ordered sparkling wine that arrived in white wine glasses. We asked if it's possible to have sparkling wine in tall glasses but the waitress seemed confused to what that is and said there are no other glasses available. Sheep cheese appetizer was great and that's worth recommending. Everything else not. Goat cheese appetizer was very dry and did not seem grilled at all. We informed the waitress which took back the dish and it got a second chance later. Unfortunately it didnt improve. For mains we took deer and duck with potato wedges and beetroot for sides. Both meats were overly dry and definetly not worth finishing. Apple that came with the duck was good and juicy. Beatroot side dish tasted like butter. Potato wedges were very average. Overall, for atmosphere it's nice, but for dining...
Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise!! We came here after other places were full. Because they weren’t full, we were a little worried. I’m Polish and travel a lot and you can say I have very high standards/am bougie especially with Polish food. Our party ordered 4 dishes and shared them all. The highlight were the potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane). The pancakes maintained their crispiness while the meat was tender and sauce well seasoned. Amazing combo. The potato cheese pierogi were also great but we wish the restaurant would do a sampler so we could try the other flavor too without overdoing it. The other dishes we had were the scallops and the veal shank. They were tasty as well. Definitely wouldn’t sleep on this place. They deserve more attention. Jacob was a great waiter and very nice. The place is very romantic and formal which we weren’t really dressed for, but no one made us feel any type of way about this and we greatly appreciated that. Thank you for a...
Read moreA fine cuisine experience in the Center of Krakow. We arrived at this gem of a restaurant after having no luck getting a table at other restaurants around it. Reservations are pretty much required, but after being insistent from the sense that we were going to have a great experience, our group of six was accommodated. Service was impeccable from greeting to dessert. Our appetizers were very good and the perfect size. The fried goat cheese is not to be missed. All of our entrees were fabulously well prepared and presented. We all had desserts that were again well prepared and beautiful, in addition to being delicious. As a bonus, there were plenty of gluten free options for those with dietary restriction as well as a few vegetarian choices. A great unhurried atmosphere, perfect temperature and killer location make this one one of Krakow's favs. Reservations required. Not inexpensive, but worth your...
