Stay at your own risk.
Stayed here as it looked like a nice, clean apartment that was relatively close to the centre.
The first red flag was the host only getting in contact when they needed something but would rarely respond to us.
When we got to the apartment, the first thing that was seen was the mould and water damage all around the windows. We called the number given through booking.com, but all they could do was send the cleaner up. However, the cleaner never showed as they went home. We were assured that the room would be cleaned the following day, but it wasn't. We again called the number provided and this time the cleaner arrived. Albeit, she came to the room and just said there's nothing she can do and seemed embarrassed. She did say it's a problem with the entire building from the top floor to the bottom (6 floors in total). She was able to ring the owner directly, who said he'll call us. As of writing this, it's been almost 1 week since we left and still haven't received as much as an email.
Other issues with the room were minor, such as long hairs being found throughout the bathroom, the rooms don't provide much in the way of soundproofing and scuff marks all around the walls.
Location-wise, it's fine. The neighbourhood/walk up seemed like a dangerous/unsafe area (spotted a few people smoking heroin and gangs of locals can be a little intimidating) but didn't hear any trouble, just have your wits about you and walk in pairs. The location is within walking distance to the main shopping areas and metro. However, hills surround the apartments on all sides, so if you're on the heavier side or have issues walking, then definitely choose another place to stay. However, the apartments does have an elevator.
But ya, to sum up, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There's plenty more places to stay in Lisbon that are nicer and cheaper than this place. Don't let the draw if the pool entice you - it's not worth it.
The only good thing I can say about here is that there's a fridge to keep water/drinks cool, the bed is a 6/10 for comfort and the shower pressure isn't bad (however, we didn't have hot water one night either).
Also, absolutely no parking nearby. We weren't driving but know some may want to.
Update* even booking.com can't get in touch with...
Read moreWe stayed three nights in Light Blue Apartments. The design of the room is nice, and it's strategically located in Lisbon. However, we paid for a room of 35m2, and when we opened the door to the room we quickly realized that it is much smaller. In addition, it had a strong mold smell in the bathroom. I ticked the option that we were unhappy with the checkin at hotels.com and they got in touch with me. They said "that only a measurement could confirm" that the room is smaller than 35m2, so I did this myself. It turns out the room is about 25m2, so 10 m2 smaller than what we paid for. I was traveling with my wife and two kids, and the extra square meters are needed. The "solution" to the mold issue seems to be to use excessive perfume in the building. Once I mentioned this to the management, they never bothered to reach out to me. And yes -- I have photos of the apartment where you can see that it is smaller.||||There are other places in Lisbon -- just stay somewhere else where you can trust...

The weather was even good enough for us to make some use of it in early March.||João from the company running the apartment rental messaged us a couple of days in and asked how we were finding it and if there was anything we needed which I thought was a nice touch.||When looking at hotels in Lisbon many look quite close but Lisbon is an incredibly hilly city and even the shortest distances can be quite tiresome to reach. Bear this in mind when choosing a hotel.||The apartment is on a quite steep hill that can be walked up or accessed by climbing a few flights of steps. This didn't bother me but could be tricky for anyone...
