So, in September 2024, my buddy and I booked a hostel not far from this "hotel." What happened was that the hostel decided to do annual maintenance without notifying me first, so we had to find somewhere to stay on short notice. Since all other places were either too expensive or fully booked, the only available "hotel" we could find was this one, at 75€ a night for two people.
When we arrived, we understood why it was the only place not fully booked in the whole area. It was so dirty that even the bugs seemed to be avoiding it. The bed sheets were disgusting, and it’s probably better not to even mention the state of the toilet and shower—otherwise, I might throw up the breakfast I had earlier.
There was no one at the reception, and when the guy finally showed up, he looked like he hadn’t slept in three days. The smell in that place was also unbearable.
So, long story short: the only solution was to head to the center, drink so much that we almost forgot our own names, and then return to this place at 5 a.m. to crash. The night passed pretty quickly.
In the end, I have to say I’m thankful that the place was so terrible, otherwise, it probably would’ve been fully booked like all the other places!
I would recommend it to people who are looking for a...
Read moreYou get what you pay for. 31 euro for our "double room". Yes, on the website was written that the room has no window but it wasn't specify that is super small, with a old and uncomfy mattress where you can feel the inside, my pillow was unusable, huge and high that after 1 hour my neck was stuck and painful so I "slept" without and that's have to me the chance of smelling the mattress.. I truly believe they found it somewhere in the rubbish.. from there I didn't sleep much maybe also cause of the noisy fan (the only way to breath). It's an old wooden building and each step and movement will generates noise.. meaning that you will hear anything that comes from the other rooms as well. Only 1 toilet per floor (7 rooms!) means waiting long time to do your business. Last but not the least the linen in bed were dirty, full of "someone else body hair" which to me and my friend was disgusting. This is what happened in big cities, we ran away at 9 o'clock doing a "self check out" as the guy wasn't there yet! The 2 workers were kind and pretty friendly which is the basic of the hospitality field but also the environment conditions are quite important too!! I definitely not reccomend to...
Read moreHow do I start ... I came to Lisbon solo and I am a 36 year old female. When I travel I'm always on a budget so when I came across this place as I was already in Lisbon I entered. Wow! Nothing I ever expected. The owner was a nice Brazilian man and I had asked if maybe I could have a tour before making my finale decision. He didnt have a problem with that. As I was following him up the stairs there was a male behind me spraying a cleaner so that I could not smell it the cat urine. He showed me the room and as he open the door it was scary. I asked if the door is had locks he said no. He said that no one would enter the rooms. He showed me the washroom which was down the hall and it was okay. I did not see any females in this building. It was all males. Right then and there I did not feel safe especially not having locks on the doors. So what I'm trying to say is if you're on a budget you can still find another hostel in Lisbon because this place is unsafe for a female and...
