I would rate 0 if that’s an option.
I traveled to Portugal for two weeks, and in order to keep my rating unbiased, I waited to write the comments till I finish my trip. This restaurant by far is the worst experience I’ve ever had in Portugal, and luckily, the only bad experience I had, the restaurants I’ve tried, expensive or street food, are all very tasty and made me so happy about the Portuguese food.
I ordered the octopus salad and seafood rice, the salad was ok and hard to chew it. The seafood in the seafood rice was not fresh, and totally was different from the photos on the menu. They didn’t use fresh shrimp, neither did they provide enough quantity of food, they use a small fake crab stick (1/5 of crab stick) to fool you that the seafood rice has crab in it, totally a joke!!!!! When I sent the seafood photo to my friend, the comment was “the soup looks good”. Excuse me, this is NOT soup where is the rice in it?????? This meal costed me around £22ish, which was not cheap considering the quality and quantity of food, especially after comparing all the restaurants I’ve tried in Portugal. Try to avoid this restaurant, you deserve a better meal when you are...
Read moreAvoid if your are a tourist. Soup was basically colored water. Mine was garlic soup (I freakin love garlic soup) and it had this weird totally raw pieces of garlic floating around, I just couldn’t finish it. My wife didn’t even start hers, and trust me, she can eat weird stuff. We ordered a tomato and grilled pepper salad and they brought us a poorly chopped bad quality tomato without anything. When i asked where the grilled peppers (that were part of the dish name and appeared clearly on the picture) were, the waiter pointed me to this small and raw piece of… Chile? That was topping the piece. A single one, but veeeery dificult to identify. I gave him the opportunity to fix the error but when he again insisted that was the dish i proceeded to politely cancel the rest of the dinner (chicken and codfish stew). Really poor experience. It was clear that they just treat tourists this way and hope no...
Read moreThis place is hidden nearby Praca De Comercio and serves really great local meals at reasonable price. It's not a main street which makes it cheaper and quieter than most of the places located near the Praca De Comercio and Baxia. At the entry you can see all the fishes and meat (displayed at the fridge) that will be cooked today hence you can always see for yourself how fresh their stuff is. The first time we ate there, the bill was 20€ for 2 people including starter, main , wine and dessert. If you go for menu positions the food gets even better - it taste way better than you could possibly imagine for such low prices and makes you believe that high quality food that you can afford can be actually found in the centre of Lisbon. if you're looking for great local food and family atmosphere then it's a perfect...
