Madalena Hermitage — Hotel in Lisbon

4 of us stayed (2 couples) in a 2 bedroom apartment. The place was clean, modern, easy to access with codes with our very late arrival and we loved the coffee machine!

Staff running the apartments were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. We requested that the twin room have the 2 singles pushed together as a couple would be staying and the room was all set up when we arrived just as we had asked.

We also booked a transfer to and from the apartment to the airport through the apartment staff. The driver was great, very professional, pointed out lots of places on the way to the apartment and had a lovely clean, spacious car.

The location of the apartment could not be any better! Very central and all the main attractions were close. Lots of cafes and restaurants around too- although the apartment kitchen is well equipped for eating in.

On our final day, we had a late flight home and had most of the day to roam the city. Staff once again were great and looked after all our luggage in the reception whilst we were out and about.

The apartment was spacious, simple, and clean, with all necessary amenities, including an elevator and a washer/dryer. The location was hard to beat. Although we never met the attendant, we could store our luggage in a small storage room shared with other guests, though the luggages were not locked. The bed was not the best, but overall it was a comfortable stay. Sound traveled from upstairs, but most of the time the sound was bearable. One night, however, we were awakened by people getting up at 2 a.m., and we stayed awake until they left at 4 a.m. Communication was inconsistent; sometimes responses were prompt, but other times there was no reply. I booked through their official website, which guaranteed the best price. However, before the change deadline, the price for the same apartment dropped on the website. I tried to modify my booking but found no option to do so. When I emailed them, I received no response for days and had to abandon...

A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Lisbon I recently spent 5 nights at Madalena Hermitage and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of Lisbon’s historic center, with everything from landmarks and restaurants to charming streets just steps away.

The property itself is well-maintained, clean, and beautifully designed, striking a perfect balance between modern comfort and local character. What truly stood out, though, was the excellent management—friendly, responsive, and always helpful, making the entire stay smooth and enjoyable.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Lisbon from a truly central and vibrant base!
