It's a pleasant enough experience to sit opposite the Drava and next to the oldest vine in the world while drinking some wine, the prices are OK and the waitresses are very kind, but Macka did feel more like an all-purpose Hipster bar than an actual wine bar - it doesn't do platters of meats or cheeses, olives, breads (what one would expect in such a place) to go with wine, but has pizzas or toast breads, and has a large selection of other types of drinks (which I feel detract from the ability to provide a wider by-the-glass selection of wine).
Also, and one thing I can't stand, is that they don't have physical menus - you must download one with a Q code. Not only does this make you take much longer to read and choose from the menu, but it does exclude some potential customers from actually ordering here - what about older customers, or those who don't have fancier, modern types of phones, what are they to do?
