Unfortunately just a drink 🤷
Been eager to try this new kid on the block which unluckily left somewhat of a bitter ending.
First things first, aesthetics are beautiful the pinks, the floral, the furniture. So you're basically sitting in a luxurious feel of Boba Heaven and whilst waiting you will hear chainsaw massacres happening behind the counter...
Now don't get me wrong, I have worked for The Bubble Tea Company and our machines were loud as heck! From the shaker machine to the blender and the beeping of the timer and hence why there was never any seating available.
Secondly the menu is strict, you can only choose what is on the menu and not create your own flavours. The add ons of toppings, syrups and creams were very limited. So we ordered a fruity tea which was plain and sorry to say, boring, whereas I ordered a milky tea with extra matcha cream which was nice but lacking of flavour.
Third opinion, in terms of staff attitude and performance, I was so confused. Generally when you order Boba Tea, you should be asked your sugar and ice levels, we got nothing. Apparently they had loyalty cards when you buy a certain amount of Boba Teas, you would get one free, we got nothing but the lady after us ordering was asked if she would like one and hand given the loyalty card.
There was a lot of toddler kids raving about this new place so the shop and seating was full and loud, but my word... Each cup has a sticker of a customers order, so when it's completed and lidded, obviously they will only dispatch it as a full order with the other cups. But my concern is how it is left on the counter and the kids started hovering and grabbing other customers drinks and drinking it only to find out they need to make a new one🤦
Lastly, we couldn't wait to get our order and immediately left the premise without having to witness anymore!
Like I said, it's...
Read moreMyself and my family have been loyal supporters of this store ever sinced it opened. On Saturday I visited the store and I bought a taro milk tea and 2 taro mochi which are my young daughter's favourite. Upon eating the 1 mochi she mentioned to me that it tasted strange so I immediately returned the uneaten one which I was refunded for. She persistently complained about the one she had tasted so I decided to taste it for myself. It tased terrible and rancid. I then returned it to a staff member informing her of the problem. She then took the item and threw it away. I then requested a refund but they said they could not refund an item that was eaten on. They claimed that it was eaten more than half way. It was only eaten on enough to figure out that it wa s rancid. It tasted too horrible to eat that much. The manager on duty said that he called his boss Nico who said that I cannot be refunded. I asked to speak to Nico but he said Nico was too busy and that he was on his way to the store, he said that Nico would call me the same evening and that I should come back in 30 minutes time when Nico arrives. Subsequently Nico never called. I returned to the store over an hour later only to find out that Nico has still not arrived.I then requested to speak to Nico but again the manager refused to put me in contact with Nico. I then asked the manager to either give me a voucher or an item to the same value of the R45 mochi which he refused to do as well. It was very difficult to reason with the manager. The manager then said that Nico would call me later in the evening. Up to now Nico has not called. The treatment I received was truly shocking and unprofessional and goes against all established standards of a reputable South African food and...
