for foreign travelers on a budget. this is a nice place to go. it's a bit of a long walking distance from taichung station though. but, if you're taking the THSR there's a free shuttle bus at the taichung hsr headed to taichung park, which is just near (less than a 5 min. walk to the hotel. from the taichung bus stop, head towards the elem. school and from there just go straight. the hotel is to your left in this direction.

as for the room itself, it was simple but clean, nice and cozy. their rooms are airconditioned. have cable tv, water heater, free drinking water, bath towels and toiletries. PLUS, the receptionist/landlady/owner was very...

Nice location. The furniture is pretty old, some even wear and tear. However, given the cheap price and location (close to Taichung main station and Southeast Asia gourmet street), the room condition is acceptable. It's not a highly qualified hotel, but it's still better than living in a youth hostel. The room is clean, towels are clean, everything is just old but clean. The staff of the hotel is very helpful and hospitable. The security facilities of the room...
