Easy Monday Khaosan Hostel — Hotel in Chana Songkhram Subdistrict

This place is under construction and Looks Somewhat ghetto and scary upon arrival and entry exclamation point There are no signs and I had to have a neighbor across the street direct me to And outside refrigerator that is the secret entrance to this place Period You must open a refrigerator door and squeeze in through one side with your bags to enter And then go up three fights of stairs to find a makeshift front desk Where everything is under heavy construction. The beds are twin beds in a very tight compartment Just big enough to store your bags inside As there is no place to lock up a large bag and no bag storage available for anyone! If you like leaving your bags alone unattended then this place is for you. When I was finally ready for a shower I went to the bathroom to check it out first glad I did because three women came out all saying there was no hot water in their shower, no water at all in fact. The front desk got on it and said they would fix it I went back to my little cubby waited a half hour eventually came back out and they said it was fixed Well I went to the bathroom and the toilets of two Had no water and both were full of poop! I let the front desk know about that and they got on it right away And of the two days I stayed there I had to Ask for toilet paper several times And the shower did eventually get hot But flow is inconsistent which seems to be typical there is a tiny balcony where you can barely fit with a chair and smoke whatever you want. I'm sure once they get the construction done the bathrooms repaired and replaced And The upgrades done it will be a good location But until then I cannot...

If I could give it a 0-star rating, I would choose it without hesitation. Are the accommodations really that bad? There's a construction site that's incredibly noisy during the day! The sanitation in the public areas is questionable, and the shower room is simply unbearable to look at. The bed is also incredibly tattered, it's like being in prison! This hostel is still building up at the moment. At this date there is only one floor in use. I can imagine this accommodation to become a great hostel. I can't wait to see the kitchen, chillout area, proper bag storage, laundry and communal spaces around. So: If you read this in 2 years and there are still good ratings coming in, book it.
