Sakura House Chiangmai — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

My group of friends and I stumbled upon this place by accident, what was supposed to only be 2 nights ended up being 5. Truly a great experience. The rooms are extremely well kept, complimentary fruit and coffee. The location is amazing if you're looking to be close to the fun of the square without being directly in the action. There is a great little local restaurant just 30 seconds away. Finally let me say the staff are absolute gems. My friends and I are all well traveled and we were all in agreement that this may have been the best staff we've ever come across, accommodating, genuinely friendly and just pleasant to be around. I would recommend Sakura house to anyone and everyone, they have both dorm style rooms as well as family rooms. I am sure the next time Im passing through Chiang Mai I will stay at the Sakura...

We stayed here for two nights. The front desk lady is amazingly kind and welcoming. Very hospitable.

The hotel is located in a very nice quiet area, but still really close and walkable distance to one of the main roads of the old city. Close to all kinds of street food and experiences.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy at the hotel. It seems homey.

The rooms however are a bit primitive and without much natural light. Same goes for the bathrooms where we couldn’t figure out how to get hot water and you showered right besides the toilet.

The walls are incredibly thin, so if you’re a light sleeper remember ear plugs, cause you’ll be able to hear your neighbors coughing and talking through the walls.

We really enjoyed our stay here in a private twin room with private bathroom. Very clean, good aircon and a large size room with decent shower. Location is great, a quiet back street but just a short walk from a beautiful park, Wat Phra Singh and great eateries and bars. Mattresses are extremely hard but the staff were happy to assist with mattress toppers which made them very comfortable, had many great nights sleep here. Laundry facilities are available on site for a very modest fee - we actually left a large number of clothes behind on the drying racks which the staff were kind enough to arrange to be sent on to our next hotel by courier, excellent service!
