Debuk Restaurant in Phuket City: A Timeless French Gem Stepping into Debuk restaurant in Phuket City is like being transported to a bygone era of classic French dining. From the moment you arrive, the "nice old style ambience" envelops you, with decor that speaks of understated elegance and a warmth that invites you to settle in for an unhurried meal. It's a delightful escape from the bustling streets outside, offering a serene and intimate setting perfect for a special occasion or simply a delightful evening out. The true heart of Debuk, however, lies in its commitment to "quality food." The menu showcases traditional French dishes, meticulously prepared and presented with care. Each plate that arrives at your table is a testament to culinary skill and a deep respect for authentic flavors. Whether you opt for a classic steak frites, a rich coq au vin, or a delicate seafood dish, you can expect ingredients of the highest caliber and execution that consistently impresses. What truly elevates Debuk to a must-visit in Phuket City is the incredible "great value" it offers. In an age where quality dining often comes with an exorbitant price tag, Debuk stands out for providing an exceptional experience without breaking the bank. This commitment to affordability, without compromising on quality, is a rare and commendable feat. No French meal is complete without a fine accompaniment, and Debuk's "good wine list" ensures you'll find the perfect pairing for your chosen dishes. The selection is well-curated, featuring a range of French and international wines that complement the cuisine beautifully, offering choices for both discerning connoisseurs and those simply looking for a pleasant glass to accompany their meal. In summary, Debuk restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's an experience. It’s a bastion of "old style French restaurant" charm in Phuket City, delivering "quality food" with "great value," all supported by a "good wine list" and a truly "nice old style ambience." For anyone seeking an authentic, delightful, and affordable journey into classic French cuisine, Debuk is an absolute gem that should not be missed.

Me and my girlfriend went eating there and we ordered red wine, cold cut platter, stir fried frog legs Thai style and tenderloin beef steak rare. Not many customers inside the restaurant but the restaurant is cosy so I didn’t mind waiting 45min to receive only the stir fried frog legs. I know it’s very common for Thai restaurant to bring food with quite a long gape of time between plates. (I’m living here) 15min later I received the cold cut platter at the same time with tenderloin. But when the beef tenderloin arrived I felt very disappointed. Never try something like this and the beef was way over cooked ! I spoke to the waitress about it and she left to talk to the boss. Minutes passed about 10min and then I was so hungry so I start to eat. I saw the boss and the waitress laughing because I was starving and start eating. I already waited more than an hour before eating. Finally I spoke with the boss and show her the menu and the picture to prove that something was wrong. I ordered fillet mignon/tenderloin beef steak RARE. And look what I had… I ask for a commercial gesture she said you eat so you pay. She keeps repeating this is the price you have to pay. Bla bla… The price is not the problem! The problem is your food and misinformation on the menu (I’m not butcher but cmon what is this piece ??) + my beef overcooked, chewy etc… There is another French restaurant across the street it’s more expensive but you have proper food and service. Stay away from this Dibuk restaurant !!

I stopped in this hot afternoon to have a "Big Chang" and cool off a bit. As it was afternoon, and I was feeling peckish, I ordered an appetizer. The crab rolls (a Dibuk exclusive, I am told) were to die for. Seriously, if you come as a group, do not try to share. Wars have been fought for less. Seeing as the appetizer was so good, there was little for it but to order a main. The smoked duck curry executed balance like a world-class highwire act. The richness of the duck was cut through by the spicy Thai chilies, which were, in turn, softened by the sweetness of just the right amount of pineapple. All was rounded out by zesty lime leaves and, of course, the coconut curry umami. Beautifully executed and artfully delivered, I will return when next in Phuket.
