I do not recommend Ottoman Luxury Hotel under any circumstances. We were a group of 9 people, including children, and had a confirmed reservation for one night. We arrived in the morning from Doha and left our luggage at the hotel without any issues. The staff assured us that everything was ready and we could check in later in the afternoon.
However, when we returned around 4 PM to check in, we were suddenly told that there was a "problem with the rooms" and they could no longer accommodate us. After a long and exhausting flight, and traveling with children, we expected at least some effort to help us find a solution. Instead, the staff told us that we had to figure it out ourselves and completely abandoned any responsibility.
We eventually found another hotel on our own, which was much more expensive and a 20-minute walk away. When we asked if they could at least call us a taxi at their expense, they refused and told us it was "not far" and that we should go by tram or on foot – despite the fact that we had children and luggage with us.
This was an unacceptable level of service and professionalism. I have been traveling regularly for over 10 years and have never experienced anything like this. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.
🛑 Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is unreliable, unprofessional, and if something goes wrong, you will be left completely on your own – even if you are traveling...

They refuse credit card payment and are ready to throw you out at night if you don't pay cash upfront. Even though at the beginning they beg you not to book online and book directly with them instead. They refuse to give a receipt ( either the receptionist is cheating his boss, or both are cheating the government and evading taxes). They promise and keep promising that they'd fix things but they never do. The receptionist is borderline sleazy harasser. Fridge was not working. Phone was not working. All the staff ( in fact they're only 2!) never wear a mask amidst a global pandemic! When I made a reservation and paid for the first night they promised to give me a room on the 4th or 5th floor. I stressed that. I also stressed I need to use the safe in the room. And the room has to be extra clean. They failed to do any of that. I ended up on the second floor and it's as good as sleeping on the railways. They kept promising me every day that they'll move me to an upper floor, but every day they spin a different lie. The receptionist even created an imaginary "lady that cleaned everyday". There was no lady.
I would never stay here again. I advise everyone to avoid at all cost. Especially solo...

However, the entrance to the other hotel (blu hotel) was through a restaurant door. Yes you literally had to enter to a restaurant and then go to the back area to reach the hotel. The blu hotel was clean and organized but I think it is unacceptable to change someone’s reservation on the spot and move them to another hotel in order to benefit a series of neighbouring hotels. In addition, we had to have our breakfast at yet again a third hotel (yes you guessed it). I do not recommend booking here as nothing you book...
