I definitely recommend this hotel! They offer exactly what they are promising: the rooms are same as in the pictures, they are big and clean. They are equipped with air conditioning and a fuctional heating system. The beds are comfortable. The location is very practical, as the hotel is in walking distance of the Agia Sofia, Topkapi palace and The blue Mosque. It is also a 15-minute walk away from the blue and red tram lines. You can also take a bus. The breakfast is good, you can ask for Turkish coffee. Note however that the hotel is right next to the school, and on Monday mornings they might be some noise by 8 am, even though it is bearable. The staff is very friendly, always ready to help. The reception is available 24/7. I am taking a star away because of some things that they forgot when cleaning the room (like a bed sheet was missing). However we called the reception, and it was a fast fix. An overall very pleasant experience, would definitely come again.

Nice hotel in the centre of most touristic area od Istanbul. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable and it's quiet considering the location. It takes you from here to Agia Sofia some 10min or less by walking. It's one of those renovated old buildings hotel, so not many stars. Anyway, if you are not too needy, it will serve just fine. Service is very nice and friendly, special praise for the young receptionist on the picture 🙂

I stayed at the Kumru hotel for about 14 days and it was terrible. The reception staff were not friendly, the room was hot as they refused to turn the air conditioning on for me and the breakfast was the same every day. It was awful. I suffer from arthritis and the heat and humidity causes extreme pain. I advised the reception staff of my condition and asked several times when the air conditioning will be turned on. They would not turn it on for me. Travelocity called them to see if they would assist with my request and they refused! ||The night prior to check out, I ordered a transfer to the airport and was quoted a price of $45. The morning of my check out, the receptionist did not order a transfer and stated I told him I would check out in the afternoon. I specifically told him I needed to be at the airport at 3 AM as my flight departs at 6 AM. Realizing he made a mistake, he ordered a taxi and charged me $50!||The reception staff are not friendly and I always had to say hello, good morning, etc. and they were forced to respond. Poor customer service.||My total bill for the days I stayed there was over $1,200 USD and it was a complete nightmare. Hot room, poor service and rude communication. Also, I had to sleep with the window open and the noise level was bad. Hotel staff are outside smoking and talking loud. Yet, they will call me to say my television was loud and the setting was at the lowest when the TV worked. They had to fix it on 2 occasions. The shower head wasn't working properly and water just flooded the floor.||I will never stay at this dump again and do not recommend it. It is a low budget hotel with unfriendly staff who aren't willing to help.||Please chose another hotel as there are many in the area of better quality. My choice was Recital Park but they did not have vacancy during my trip in Turkey.||My next request will be a partial refund. I paid for comfort and did not receive it.||So...

Really great hotel with very good location and helpfull staff ! It's definetly at the top of my favourite hotels.

The Rooms: Rooms are modern and cleaned every day. The bed is comfortable. The water pressure is not the best but it does the job. There was also a minibar for late night snacking. They also provided water bottles free of charge that they restock daily.

Location: Great location, really close to the main tourist attractions and the tram, but still remote enough that you don't hear any noises from the street. There are also a few great restaurants around the corner.

Breakfast: good selection of savoury and sweet dishes: salads, cheese, eggs, bread, cereals etc. That allows you to switch up what you eat every morning. The food tastes homemade which I particularly enjoyed.

The Staff : it was my first solo trip and I was a bit stressed that i would feel lonely or unsafe.

But the moment I walked into Kumru hotel I was greated and treated as a friend. The Hotel and rooms are great but its the people working there that made it very special.

I stayed there for a week and honestly think that I enjoyed my trip so much thanks to all the staff at Kumru hotel, who helped me with all my needs, and made me feel very safe in an unknown city.

Special thanks to Sinan for all warm welcoming, answering all my questions and making sure I get back to the...

Volgens ons werkt men onderling samen.
