Celeste Hotel — Hotel in Fethiye

Our experience with this hotel was terrible.

First of all, I’d like to mention the much-praised breakfast – it's the same every day, nothing changes, and nothing new is added. Every day, it's just bread with salami, butter, or jam. You can also "choose" a salad, which you make yourself from tomatoes, cucumbers, and green or black olives. So, if you want scrambled eggs or an omelet, they tell you: "maybe next year." What a shame.

Next: the rooms – absolutely horrifying. The entire bathroom smells like mold, which is found in the uncleaned shower – you can see it in the pictures. The toilet – every time you flush, dirty water starts flowing out of the toilet, which is very "hygienic." The sink, where you wash your hands, is wobbly and barely stands, with silicone applied just for appearance.

The hairdryer shuts off after a few minutes or overheats, leaving you with the option of going to bed either with wet hair or burned hair.

The bed covers are yellowed. So, if you ask for a clean cover, you get a yellowed sheet to cover yourself with. When we asked for housekeeping to clean our room, they told us the cleaner was sick, and there was no one else to do it for next 3 days. 😆

Sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt – nicht zu empfehlen Wir haben nicht das gebuchte Zimmer erhalten, und das Personal war unfreundlich und wenig hilfsbereit. Die Sauberkeit ließ stark zu wünschen übrig: Schmutzige Bettwäsche, ungepflegte Möbel und ein unhygienisches Bad, in dem wir sogar einen Gecko einfingen. Trotz Fliegengittern waren viele Insekten im Zimmer. Aus Ekel mussten wir selbst Reinigungsmittel besorgen und das Zimmer reinigen. Stromausfälle waren an der Tagesordnung, und es gab kaum warmes Wasser – sehr unangenehm nach dem Meer. Die Betten waren extrem unbequem, man spürte die Federn und hatte danach Rückenschmerzen. Handtücher wurden nur auf ausdrückliche Bitte gewechselt, und gereinigt wurde kaum. Die Lage ist extrem laut, schlafen war kaum möglich. In einer Nacht schrie eine Frau um Hilfe – die Rezeption war unbesetzt, wir mussten die Polizei rufen. Der Vorfall wurde am nächsten Tag vom Personal heruntergespielt. Das Frühstück war sehr mager, nicht einmal Brot war vorhanden – weit entfernt von einem türkischen Frühstück. Fazit: Leider eine Zumutung – wir waren froh, als der Aufenthalt vorbei war.

Hayal kırıklığı yaratan bir konaklama – Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum Rezervasyon yaptığımız odayı alamadık ve personel oldukça ilgisiz ve kaba davrandı. Oda temiz değildi: kirli çarşaflar, tozlu mobilyalar ve hijyenik olmayan bir banyo vardı. Duşta bir geko yakalamak zorunda kaldık. Sinekliğe rağmen odada çok sayıda böcek vardı. Temizlik eksikliği nedeniyle temizlik malzemesi alıp odayı kendimiz temizledik. Sürekli elektrik kesintileri yaşandı ve sıcak su yoktu – denizden sonra bu durum oldukça rahatsız ediciydi. Yataklar da çok rahatsızdı; yayları hissediyorduk ve sırt ağrısıyla uyandık. Havlular yalnızca ısrarla isteyince bir kez değiştirildi, temizlik ise sadece çöp kovasını boşaltmaktan ibaretti. Otel çok gürültülü bir bölgede, gece uyumak neredeyse imkânsızdı. Bir gece bir kadın yardım çığlıkları attı ama resepsiyon kapalıydı, polisi aramak zorunda kaldık. Ertesi gün personel durumu küçümsedi. Kahvaltı da yetersizdi, ekmek bile yoktu. Geleneksel Türk kahvaltısıyla ilgisi yoktu. Sonuç: Maalesef büyük bir hayal kırıklığıydı. Tatilimizden geriye sadece kötü anılar kaldı.

Very disappointing stay – Would not recommend We did not get the room we had booked, and the staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. Cleanliness was a big issue: dirty sheets, dusty furniture, and an unhygienic bathroom where we even had to catch a gecko ourselves. Despite insect screens, there were many bugs in the room. We ended up buying cleaning supplies and cleaning the room and bathroom ourselves. There were frequent power outages and hardly any hot water, which was especially unpleasant after coming back from the sea. The beds were extremely uncomfortable – you could feel the springs, and we woke up with back pain. Towels were only changed once after repeated requests, and the so-called cleaning consisted of just emptying the bin. The hotel is located in a very noisy area, and sleep was nearly impossible. One night, a woman screamed for help, but the reception was unstaffed. We had to call the police. The staff downplayed the incident the next day. The breakfast was also very poor – not even bread was available. It looked nothing like the pictures and certainly not like a traditional Turkish breakfast. Very helpful staff. They are always there for you to solve anything. Prices are normal. Location is amazing; it was close to the beach, to the shops, and to transportation. Rooms are clean enough, and the air-conditioner works properly. Beds are comfy, but they should definitely use better quality sheets and pillows.
