Excellent experience, very nice cave rooms, ethnic cuisine with polite staff, and eastern sunrise with the flying balloons up to the Sky make the place a mystical apocalypse. Recommended!

Even before we arrived, our host and hotel manager Gülcan was very helpful - she offered to organize a shuttle for us to the hotel, and also offered to write her any time if we had questions beforehand. We arrived at new year's eve and there was a lot going on, despite that, Gülcan was very welcoming and served us tea and cookies and even ordered us a dinner from a nearby take-out ("Firin Express", which I can highly recommend! Simple and good.). Our room (Battal) was huge and clean, especially in winter we can recommend this room because it has its own hamam with a hot stone which we used every evening when we returned from our day trips in the cold. And you can really trust the photos on their website, our room was even nicer than expected. You can pay by credit card, but you pay 5% more, so payment in cash Euros or Dollars saved us the 5%. Not only was Gülcan welcoming, her breakfast was very nice too - especially her Gözleme was delicious!! And before you book any tours with groups (around 40 Euros including museum entries and lunch) or private tours with the local taxi drivers (the drivers offer private tours, but: up to "overpriced" 100$ a day and you can't even go where you want) - so ask Gülcan! She...

Very nice place but ugly manager. We were walking around goreme late evening, looking for nice hotel for staying next time. The door was open and we entered inside. There was light in reception room and the big dog slept but nobody around. We were making pictures and looking around. In 5 min a men went out to us saying something like 'yes, please' and we said we are just walking around. We wanted to ask about prices and rooms, but did not have time, cause he started saying in rude manner 'go away, its late time, midnight, u can't be here for walking, it's my house'. We were asking like why so rude, we look for a place to stay and bring groups, and the door was open. And he was like 'get out, I will call police, dont need u and ur groups'. And do raughly and rude, feels like will fight us if we say something more. Its not usual for goreme, they are always welcome day and night. This attitude is not adequate. Not sure such kind of speaking is normal for tourism sphere. And any other...
