My friend and I decided to spend weekends somewhere. As my friend is Lviv's history buff so we spent our weeknds in Lviv, because I have never ever been there before. I would like to listen to my friend, who is keen on history of Ukrainian cities. But we had a big problem: what kind of hostel should we choose? One day I was looking for hostels with good location and great feedbacks from visitors. "Gar'is hostel" just caught my eye. So I would like to leave feedback about it. We were on a tight budget with my friend, that is why I chose not very expensive one. Actually it was our first time. We have never ever lived in hostels before. We booked a room with king size bed and separate shower and toilet, which were included, nobody inerrupted us. Blanket and bedsheets were snowy and smelled nice. Even the price for our room was not so high as the price of another room witnout toilet and shower. It was the best way to leave there for a couple of days. I think it is an advantage of hostel.||Also we were astonished at service. Our train arrived at 11 p.m. so we got to the hostel at midnight. An administrator served us even at night. I know that I will be welcomed if I came at any time)||Breakfast was included. We had scrambled eggs, sausage and coffee with some bakery. I was quit full after breakfast. "Gar'is hostel" has another kind of servise: if you want to try National Galician cuisine, you can order some national dish in this hostel. It offers this service to guests. If you try their dish one time, you will get into this cuisine. It is worth trying, beleive me!||In my opinion it is the best way to spend less money on living in hostels, but you will be delighted to be there.||There is only one irritating thing: walls in the hostel are thin, so you can hear another people who are living next to you. But when you are exhausted after owerwhelming day, you just don't pay attention to any kind of noise. It is not a big deal)||Great service, the best location, comfortable rooms. It is worth living there.||I am looking forward to visiting Lviv one more time. I am sure that I'll...

Read moreI found this place after being in Lviv a few days. I stayed here about two weeks I think. 4 bed dorm, good size room, good locker but it was hot. All European hostels need to look into ceiling or window fans to move the air. The toilets are limited but really on a problem during a few mornings. Also they have a washing machine. No dryer and limit space to hang clothes up to dry. I made a recommendation they install clothes lines outside the room window. It's the norm in the area. They also made reservations to Gar'is Hostel Kyiv & wrote out the translation for the train for me. Good staff and clean. Street traffic claims...
