This is not a 4* hotel by any means especially if you have been living in Dubai for a reasonable amount of time.
The room Aesthetic - . The hotel’s aesthetic is average at best despite its promise of minimalism. Service- The service is quite slow. We had to call room service multiple times to ask for basics that should have been there at the start. There were no bathrobes and slippers and we were surprised to find out they do not even offer Lotion. In addition to this they only gave us 2 bottles of water, not ideal in the dubai heat, when we asked for more this basic amenity was rationed with the hotel choosing to give us 2 bottles at a time. Infrastructure- There are only 2 elevators in the whole hotel for 13 floors,136 rooms. Depressing at best given you have to wait to get to your destination. This leads to packed elevators, further enhanced by the fact that social distancing is not encouraged inside these elevators. Rooms smell - There is a very pungent and pervasive smell in the rooms that is quite confronting. We moved rooms twice and Had to call housekeeping both times to refresh the room. Moreover we spotted multiple hotel staff carrying air freshener around to different rooms meaning multiple other people had complained about the smell View- The best you can get here is the view of the metro. Nothing unique unless you have an extreme passion for metro stations and construction sites Parking: Parking is by far the most difficult thing to find, no valet they expect you to park in front of the hotel itself and there is a so called underground parking which during our stay we had yet to see. Food.- This was the ultimate let down after such a terrible first impression. First of all A La Carte breakfast, only Filtered coffee, boxed orange juice, dried croissants and dehydrated vegetables, capped by unavailable waiters. One of which we had to pluck out to serve us from the crowd. Multiple patrons had also complained about not getting orders after waiting for some time. Overall recipe for disaster. Conclusion: The whole stay was extremely exhausting and disappointing. Most of these cons were noticeable from the first hour of our stay. Within the first hour we called to cancel however decided to give them a chance in case we were judging them to harshly from the beginning, but alas this became a cautionary tale of our worst stay in a Dubai hotel. If you are reading this review and are having second guesses of booking this place, I would recommend you trust your instincts and book elsewhere. Unless this place is like 150Aed per night then by all...
Read moreWe stayed at Form Hotel at the start of September for my partner’s birthday. We wanted a simple base to sleep, but sadly left quite disappointed.||The location is near a metro, but the hotel feels isolated and is surrounded by construction. From the front you can definitely hear the noise, and the rooms are not soundproof – we were woken several times by neighbours.||The rooms themselves were the highlight. Clean, modern and well maintained (though the shower needs a deeper scrub and the fridge wasn’t cold enough). Housekeeping did a great job.||Breakfast was the same every day, and the half-board menu was very limited (burgers, sandwiches or pasta). We only ate there once and both felt unwell the next day. I wish the menu had been advertised in advance, as I wouldn’t have paid for half-board.||The pool area was another big letdown. It’s advertised as 25m, but it’s nowhere near that. The water was cloudy, the sides dirty, and no loungers as pictured. Photos online also show Burj Khalifa views, but these are long gone due to surrounding developments. The “rooftop bar/restaurant” doesn’t exist either. There are also no poolside drinks available, and while a pool attendant is present all day, he mostly sat indoors on his phone and only handed out towels – which felt pointless. On our last night we couldn’t even sit outside because the area was being cleaned.||On our final day, after checking out, we had an 8-hour wait for our taxi and went to the pool. Unfortunately, no parasols were available “due to wind.” The breeze was minimal, but staff explained that being on the rooftop means they can’t put them out. In September’s heat, sitting by the pool without shade was impossible – heavier or fixed parasols are definitely needed. There was also nowhere comfortable to relax while waiting for our taxi, unless you wanted to sit in the main reception area. No entertainment, TVs, or even a quiet lounge area were available to pass the time.||Finally, at checkout we weren’t asked how our stay was, which was disappointing given the issues we faced. The hotel also advertises two restaurants, but we only ever saw the main dining area and a terrace, which should be made clearer.||Overall, the rooms and housekeeping were good, but the misleading photos, noise, limited food options, lack of shade or service at the pool, and poor facilities really let this hotel down. Updating the advertising to reflect reality would make expectations much...

I would only recommend this hotel to anyone on a business trip / travelling alone. Me & my husband went to the Maldives and had a humungous villa and our next destination was Dubai. When we got to this hotel, we felt like we were so squashed! Our fault for not looking at dimensions.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. 15mins from airport, 15mins from the Malls and very close by the souqs, museum and all the places you want to visit in Dubai.
The breakfast options were great – I must say! Would have preferred there to be baked beans available every day which is a must with the rest of the options (sausages, mushrooms etc).
We requested an iron & iron board which the hotel very kindly gave.
Rooftop pool was great, although there wasn’t much time to spend up there. The surrounding area isn’t so great as there as building works going on everywhere, so you won’t have much of a great view.
So many things wrong: • This hotel is not for anyone staying for more then 2-3 nights unless you’re travelling alone. • Towels are very old and rough. We even had a towel with a hole in it. • Very basic hotel, you won’t be given slippers, gowns etc – no refreshments in the fridge, although you will be given a top-up of water every day. • You cannot open any windows, so it can get very stuffy (there is AC available) • The hairdryer was SUPER dusty & old – I cringed every time I attempted to use it • We requested for more hangers are there were two of us. We were given hangers (random hangers, different coloured – god know where they were grabbed from!). A couple of the hangers broke.
Marlon & Ahmed (I think that was his name) were very friendly! All the staff were some-what kind but of course busy with their work. Our room cleaner was very kind and did a great job with the cleaning.
I would go back if I was travelling alone and only for 1-3nights. Would only recommend this hotel as it is a great location. If you decide to rent a car, there is A LOT of...
