I’ve been a loyal guest at Versace for many years, especially since I lived in D1 Tower, but my recent visit left me extremely disappointed due to the changes they’ve implemented. The experience was so frustrating that I ended up canceling my planned stay.

When I called Jean from the reservations team, I informed her that I would be visiting with my wife and child. She explained that kids were free, my wife would have a 100 AED minimum charge, and I would have a 200 AED minimum charge. She also confirmed that I could use the Entertainer voucher and access the facilities at La Piscina.

Upon arrival, I had a pleasant breakfast at Giardino, but everything went downhill when I headed to the pool to spend the rest of my day. I was informed that kids were not allowed at La Piscina because of the bar. This was surprising since, during a previous inquiry about suite options and lounge access at OSO, I was assured that my child could join me during happy hours. Instead, we were redirected to Amalfi restaurant, which has a kids' pool.

This is where the experience turned truly disappointing. The menu at Amalfi was extremely limited, and I wasn’t allowed to order from the other poolside restaurants. On top of that, I was told I couldn’t use more than one Entertainer voucher. The food was subpar, the service was slow and unprofessional, and I quickly realized why I was the only guest sitting there.

I didn’t use the kids' pool because I had specifically come for La Piscina, known for its incredible ambiance, stunning pool, and excellent menu. Since I was denied access to it simply because I had my child with me, it completely defeated the purpose of my visit. Even as a resident of D1 Tower, I was denied this privilege, which made me question why I would spend so much money at the hotel without being able to enjoy its best facilities.

At that point, I decided to cancel my stay altogether. I asked to speak with the manager, Mr. Zene, but his response was unhelpful and did nothing to improve the situation.

This experience fell far below the standards I’ve come to expect from Versace, and it has left me seriously reconsidering whether I’ll visit again...
