Currently I am staying in this hotel called Jadaf Kingsgate Millennium and this is the 2nd time I am staying in this hotel ( I stayed same hotel 2 weeks before too also my husband stayed in this hotel for 3 d time ) ||||The first time for me in this hotel it was okey kind of experience -that time also the guy in the reception said management making issues to them and need a deposit from us , if not they cut from their salary 200 AED. He follow up us and 200 AED we have kept as security ||||Now the second time the terrible thing happen. This time also 200 AED security deposit kept when check in . ||I am with baby went to this hotel and as soon as step to the the bath room there is no fixed shower and only HAND SHOWER available for the bath room brand call GPD and as soon as taking it was fallen and broken so we had no ways to bath or wash baby ||||The receptionist Mr. Ismail ( not sure he given real name ) in the reception call me more than 10 times (attached photo )and told without any investigation that I have to pay 190 AED for the damage and he mentioned over the phone that they given the room after a check to us. ||The tricky way of taking 200 AED deposit for-nothing then only I realized. He just use the opportunity to make money from us obviously understand that to secure his job unethically - He didn’t care how we are going to bath next 3 days and after when I asked he was telling a technical team person will come to check ( I noticed this is the today room rate so the receptionist (guy) want to purely charged me a day selling rate and fully use my deposit without any base . The hand shower brand is not even cost 60 AED for the set when I checked online . Hour later a guy came from Engineering department to check , he was someone neutral person and respectful to guests. Receptionist who is in duty at 6 Wednesday 5pm called him while he was checking the tap. The guy who came to check told me he will speak to the manager and he too realized the reception guy shamelessly trying to make money without even knowing what the issue is. ||||Within 5 minutes the engineering guy bring the thing and fixed and I am pretty sure that didn’t even cost 30-40 AED for the part of hand shower and he said he was from engineering department staff of hotel (attached photos ) ||||No investigation straightaway receptionist says 190 AED taking our deposit what a shameless act. That not even costed barely 60 AED including labour as they only replaced the top and the worker is same their engineering department person in hotel ( they don’t need to outsource anyone for small plumbing work ) ||||I am writing this review to make aware you in case you booking this hotel need to be super careful as they don’t have any respect to the guests specially for someone with a baby. Trying to charge 200 as deposits or saying damage to escape from management ||||Also the house keeping team will knock your door as they want even if you put do not disturb sign ||||So if you have per day budget 220-240 AED then chose this budget hotel ||||( I have attached all the pictures in my review )||||Date of...
Read moreI would not recommend this hotel if there are other alternatives in the same price range. Millennium hotels has usual a very good standard (at least those I have been in) so very disappointed on this one. More details below:
When checking in I was upgraded from queen size room to king size. The room I got was a accessible room (which is fine with me but can also be a reason for some negatives, not sure). We had two rooms, one in the first floor and one in the fifth floor.
Positive: Nice design in room Good and working AC Good Wi-Fi Good Shower Smell from sewer when I came but where fixed when pointed that out Parking (few spaces but we could park on the side if it was full)
Negative: a lot of small lights on when turning off all lights, from AC display, TV and so on. Nothing separating the shower with the toilet so water would come over the whole floor. (accessible room only) small flies in the bathroom. Keeping the door open would make them fly inside the bedroom (room service keept the door open after cleaning) No view, window was tinted so I was not able to see anything outside (room was at first floor, accessible room only) Very low water pressure in the water tap (shower was good) Placement of TV was not so good and too few channel. (accessible room only) Not isolated so good between the door and the hall. Could hear people talk and open and closing doors very loud. Bed was not very...
