The Red East — Restaurant in Dubai

Service was friendly and probably the only reason I'll visit again.

Taste of the food here doesn't take you far east... drops you just off the coast of Abu Dhabi 😉

I was offered the set menu and then I was given excuses as to why the set menu dishes don't have the authenticity - in look as per their pictures in the menu, ingredients and in taste.

So then I ordered a dimsum, not on the set menu, which also failed to meet expectations with respect to taste and texture. But maybe that's the chickens fault, not the chef...

So best to avoid the set menu and order from the ala carte menu and keep your fingers crossed that it looks like the one shown in photos and taste is near good to far red east.

Was here for a dinner get-together last week of Jan'24. Mr. Chola ensured we were well taken care of. Special shoutout to Neeru and Sanjay as well for the hospitality shown. Liked the place for it's exclusivity in terms of location. Ambience was quite welcoming. They have basement parking for customers.

Overall the food was quite good, hence the 4 stars. However, the Lamb Masaman Curry, was not great especially for the asking price. Meat was not cooked properly and ended up being quite tough to eat, making it an unpleasant choice for all the guests.

Will definitely come again as it is a great choice...

Today, 1 ordered chilly chicken and chicken tried rice. Despite a half-hour wait for the order to arrive at my table, I must admit that the food, particularly the chilly chicken, was excellent. The ambiance was pleasantly clean, offering ample seating space. Additionally, Neeru was very courteous and provided satisfactory service. Shall try other dishes and post feedback in the coming days.
