INK Hotel Dubai — Hotel in Dubai

My fiance booked it just for us to relax ourself from our very busy working schedule we wanted a break too and our little nephew joined us in this 3 days trip. We reached the hotel it looked like its just newly build up, on the right side there are systems kept if any guests wants to browse and left side their coffee cafe and just inside that they had their in house kitchen too , we were offered to have fresh lemonade drink till the staff did all the booking process. Staff were very polite, well groomed and explained us each and every thing with regards to hotel , at first we were given 2nd floor and due to some technical problem in that room they immediately changed us to 4th floor which was super awsome to see THE JADDAF WATER FRONT view, boats and cruise 🛳 passing by and and at night 🌙 those lights all around looked so fab and romantic I was happy with their quick action taken by the hotel manager and the staff who immediately same time shifted us with out any hassel or stress our bags were assissted by the hotel staff itself , Our room very super chilled & clean,neatly arranged and smelled very good . We had our lunch ordered from hotel just munched on snacks like club sandwich and burgers which is super 👌 tasty we visited their top floor where swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool was there they also had a mini place for kids and youngsters playing PLAY STATION 5 on the corner side and right side there was a gym and outside was the pool my nephew enjoyed playing PlayStation and fiance was busy doing his workout for the day. At rooftop,they also served some chilled latte and mini magmum, which was on pay. we gave a try and liked it . Next day due to my slight leg injury was already informed to the manager on request to serve me the breakfast in my room itself and I was served at right time by the staff every thing and where as my fiance and nephew enjoyed having their break fast at the buffet place which was a english breakfast i loved their blueberry pancakes those mini cheese crossiant and French omelette served with toasted bread along with butter and jam I enjoyed it I forgot to mention they even served us their fruit salad as a complimentary from their side as a sweet gesture from their manager due to the inconvenience in room change from 2nd floor to 4th floor last min but I was happy with what I was provided with.

And I did notice so many college students around staying in this Hotel.

We enjoyed our 3 best days by enjoying every single second of this InkHotel

TL;DR Summary: Overall acceptable budget stay, excluding the very frustrating check-in experience.

The Good: It was clean and looked modern, lots of light in the room..

The shower was great, strong pressure in a rain showerhead.

The view from the room was nice-ish, I could see the lagoon/water body and it was sort of panoramic.

The breakfast was a solid standard one, ticking all the basics like sausages and bacon and eggs and going a bit beyond with the made-to-order items like pancakes and nutella toast.

There is a lagoon/waterfront to walk along, especially at night when it's cooler or in the winter, some cruises also depart from the nearby marina. There is a masjid nearby.

The Bad: We had to wait after coming in as the room wasn't ready, even though we didn't show up super early or anything. After entering the room we suddenly realized that there were two single beds instead of a double or king bed!

We called the reception and they said they'd find us another room. We waited for another 45mins or so and it was getting very frustrating by now, we hadn't even had lunch and weren't settled down even after more than an hour of reaching the hotel..

In this state of disappointment and hunger, we gave our stuff to the check-in desk and headed out to lunch, expecting to get the room when we came back.

On reaching the hotel after lunch (by which time it was nearing sunset), we were given a small fruit plate with apologies which I found was sort of a 'too little too late' gesture.

We got our new key card and went to the room which now had a double bed but was on the 1st floor, even after having specifically mentioned that I wanted the room on a higher floor (apparently they misheard 4th as 1st).

I had to then go back to the reception and get another room's key card, and by this time I was sort of done with the management...

On another topic, the location of the hotel is sort of weird, it seemed to be hiding behind other big hotels and the front of the building faces the back of another building so it's not much of an entrance..

There aren't any shops or restaurants nearby apart from the restaurants of the...

The hotel is supposed to be 4 star hotel but comparing to another 3 Star hotels in the same area that hotel can’t be described as 4 star as there is no facilities compared to star rating , that might be max 2 or 3 Star only! The cleaning services in the rooms is very weak point there , unfortunately I found the sheets dirty after checking in which made my stay very annoying from the start As well the room was having fresh paint smell ! I asked to change the room and I got POD accessibility room which means everything there was in a lower height ! During my stay the sheets were changed once only within 5 nights! Really disappointing ,

Even I kept the changing request paper on the bed , the housekeeping staff kept the same and I found out that after I came back to the room ! That shows there is no supervision to the staff as they don’t care , As well hotel is not providing water bottles , they are refilling your water maybe from dispenser which is really very weakness point , I don’t know who advised them this is a good idea ! The parking entrance and exit are the same ! Which is unsafe at all and very narrow as well , and the parking slots are so small ,

Some of the staff needs to learn how to deal with gusts, they need to be trained on how to respect their gusts and to communicate in a good manner,

The hotel overall is not bad but not good as 4 star hotel in Dubai.

The only bright thing in the hotel is the rooftop staff and some other staff within the hotel who really knows how to contact their customers as these small things matters and makes difference , “ Thanks Liza “
