Stayed here for just one night for my birthday this year. Was given a very warm welcome on the afternoon of my arrival, offered a complimentary muffin and directed upstairs to my room on the top floor.
The room itself was pretty basic and quite lacking, but as I was just staying here for one night, I figured it would be good enough. It was very quiet, cosy and cool, plus I had a great view outside over Regency Square and the sea to the left. The Wi-Fi speed was fast which was great and there were more than enough teabags and coffee for me to use during my stay.
With that said, I was disappointed to find out that there was nowhere to eat my food that I bought from elsewhere. There was a bedside table, but it was in such an awkward place facing away from the TV that I couldn't eat there. I resorted to having to eat on the floor, which looked clean enough. I know it's a small room, but a folding table and chair could have easily fit inside.
Other things that bothered me included a towel that had a stain on it, a long strand of hair I found on the shower floor and the bed which was overused and not very comfortable. The kettle could use some descaling too.
The breakfast buffet was alright. It wasn't really what I was expecting as it featured different kinds of fish, cheese, biscuits, pastries and more. There wasn't really much there that was like a traditional English breakfast, but I didn't mind it. Checking out was also very quick and easy.
And that's all I really have to say. This B&B is nowhere near the best I've stayed in, but it wasn't awful. I'm glad I only stayed here for just one night. That being said, if I ever need to stay overnight in Brighton again, I unfortunately won't be...

We booked 2 rooms, one single on 3rd floor and one double on 2nd floor There is no lift so make sure you take this into account if you struggle with stairs but it does say that in the description of the hotel. The Owner was so charming and helped us with our luggage and told us a bit about the hotel. The double room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy. Shower was hot and powerful. It also had a big window and a fan - which was used non stop as we are ladies of a certain age and I am a cancer recovery patient on cancer treatment medication - My friend who stayed in the single room said it was a nice comfortable room. The breakfast was fresh and there was so much to choose from as a continental breakfast - smoked salmon, cheeses, pastries, home natural yoghurt, fruit and much more 😋 It is set in a quiet location near the i360 - about a 15 minute walk to the Lanes, Restaurants etc Absolutely loved Brighton House Would stay again in a heartbeat and would HIGHLY recommend - we felt very safe there - Tammy (59) Tina (64)...

Not sure if this was because we were on the 4th floor. |Husband attempted to have a shower which took nearly 15 minutes to turn even warm.|Our room overlooked the square and it was very noisy at night. I was woken up at least twice. I noticed that there was also dirt and bits of rubbish which could be seen in the light when turned on.|The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard. The pillows were thin and the duvet needed to be a higher tog as I was chilly during the night.|The towel which was in the bathroom on arrival was stained. Quite revolting and really put me off showering.|Did not have the breakfast as it did not appeal to us.|Overall a poor stay. 2 nights at £265. Just not up to what was expected.
