The man who owns the place is a criminal this place needs to get shut down by a court order DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed there for just one night and got such severe cellulitis from the bed bugs on the bed (hundreds of them crawling around) then I was in hospital for 2 days on iv antibiotics with hot and cold sweats shaking and shivering it almost killed me staying in this place then instead of apologising he denied it all even though I took loads of pictures some of them were huge the photos would made you throw up I’m saving them for court. Then when I said I had pictures and it had sent me to hospital with cellulitis he laughed on the phone found it funny he’s sadistic my arms are covered in cellulitis and my neck and face it’s itchy it hurts and it’s painful and I’m on two different antibiotics the doctors saw the pictures of the bed and were horrified told me to report the owner to the police. I ended up going back I the hotel having nowhere else to stay and surprise surprise for a severe allergic reaction to the bed bugs that caused me to have uncontrollable shaking swearing and it elevated my heart rate so much am ambulance had to be called and I had to be on iv fluids for a night and the man offered to have a different place that then had way more bed bugs than the first he ran out of the room fast when he let me in so I couldn’t call him out on it as soon as u saw ir but I caught him smirking on the way out he’s a predator saw I was young and on my own and did this on purpose he needs to compensate me or I will be pressing charges and prosecuting in court I have all the hospital records and pictures . He’s a full on psychopath and should be in prison. Room 4 is en suite with sea view, contains antique looking writing desk with ample drawers, chair, tv, comfy double bed, and more than enough towels. A notice ruefully admits the plumbing is commensurate with a 220 year old building. The water pipes from the higher floors go through ones bathroom, so if these guests wash (or use the loo?) in the small hours you might be woken up. Same if upper floor folks make noise at uncivilised hours.|My only substantive criticism is poor communication. Due to circumstances resulting from an injury, I could only book two days in advance. I tried to ring them to book and discuss breakfast options, but at each attempt the phone rang briefly and cuts off. So I reluctantly opened an account with booking.com and booked through them, sans breakfast. Half an hour before leaving my house for the train I checked my emails and was aghast to learn of a problem with my debit card. Panic stricken, I made three attempts to ring them but the same thing happened. Read moreI came out with lots of money to spend and i hoped of being able to eat lots of good seafood. ||First off, ordered mussels, ok, the mussles themselves were very small, and the sauce was extremely over salted so not a great start.||Asked if I could have crab in the seafood spaghetti , the waiter was rude, ignored me and wrote down crab salad, I told him no, asked him again and he just said no without asking the kitchen. So ordered the seafood spaghetti. When it turned up, spaghetti was overcooked , tasted bad and lacked seafood. So I felt embarrassed but had to send it back. They asked me If I wanted anything else. I wanted to give them another chance so I ordered the callamari as a starter to be polite. The waiter pretty much dropped it on the table and ran off before even asking if we wanted another drink.
