Worst service I've ever experienced. Long wait for food. Overpriced. Mediocre food. Came with a group of friends for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, so had to wait 20mins (which wasn't a problem). Unfortunately, they then didn't come to take our order for a while, until one of the group asked a waitress. We ordered drinks, starters (which included prawn crackers) and mains, altogether, but with the expectation, that they would arrive staggered. We waited over 30mins to get our drinks, which only came, again, after a member of the party asking where our drinks were. We waited a further 30mins before we asked where the prawn crackers were. Once we ate the prawn crackers, there was another long wait before we got the other starters, and then another long wait before the mains came. We saw other peoples' food arrive before ours, even though we ordered our food before them. The prawn crackers came in a small basket, and there were no more than 8-10 crackers in the basket; I'm unsure as to how they can justify charging £3.50 for that! Soft drinks were ridiculously overpriced. In terms of the food, the duck was dry and thai green curry was watery. When we complained at the end, we were rudely dismissed by the female manager. We asked why we weren't told there was a long wait for food before we sat down, her response was, "can't you see it's busy!" We advised her, in the future she should tell customers before they sit down, that the wait for food is over an hour, so they can then make the decision themselves; she continued to...

Highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best places in the city to eat out. Yesterday evening, one of the busy Saturday evenings as always my friends and I were searching a good Thai restaurant to dine out. Most of the places were fully booked. Finally walking along Preston St. towards the seafront was where we found our best choice with a lovely-friendly warm welcome by Siam Siam staff. Their food and services were so delicate even though they were in rush hours, the restaurant was full of customers. On the menu there was a good assortment of food which looked so yummy! making my mouth watering, like herbal fish dishes or aromatic Thai curry. As many good selections they have, I couldn’t make my decision until I laid my eyes on noodle section where I chose Prawn Pad Thai as my main. That was so awesome! never like anywhere I’ve tried in Brighton. The flat rice noodles coated in its light golden brown and sweet-sour sauce was so soft and moisture, with its slightly ‘Al Dente’ texture together with a soft prawn once chewing sent ‘Umami’ taste all over my palate. Strongly suggest just before start eating, sprinkling some roasted ground peanuts and drops of lime juice, mixing it well while the noodle’s still hot makes the taste even more perfect. My starters were so impressive. Papaya salad and fish cakes were fresh-prepared and home-made. Definitely!...

really disappointed with the food and the service. went for the fisherman set menu. the shared platter was very small as part of the deal 1 prawn each (there were two of us) two very small strips of prawn toast. prawn crackers whcih were stale and fish cakes which had some good flavour. The mains came and the plain pad thai was plentiful and tasted OK. we had a mix seafood penang which was very watery and tasted sweet and sour. the squid was tough and chewy. the mix seafood ginger dish was nice but again the squid was cooked far too long and very tough. when we spoke to the waiting staff. told the manager would come over. she was very rude, aggressive actually and blamed us for not bringing it to their attention at the start of the meal. the waiting staff were non attentive and after the manager had agreed to deduct 6.50 off our bill (which was not equal to the cost of the food we didn't eat) another waiting staff came over and in a very rude tone said "I did come and ask you if ok". They have done up the main room but lost the beautiful experience that has been present for the nearly 15-20 years I have been going there. I certainly will not be retuning. such a shame ..... when we came to pay the same waitress came over and shoved the card reader in our faces. not sure what the set up is there but the staff certainly emulate...

Siam Siam Thai Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience, especially for those craving authentic Thai flavors. The highlight of the meal was the fresh and sweet Pad Thai, which tasted like it was straight from the streets of Thailand—perfectly balanced with tangy tamarind, tender noodles, and a generous helping of fresh vegetables and peanuts. The duck pancakes were equally impressive, with succulent, tender duck wrapped in soft, flavorful pancakes that melted in your mouth. The cocktail selection was well-curated, with creative and refreshing options that complemented the dishes beautifully. However, the Papaya salad was a letdown. Unfortunately, it lacked the crispness and vibrancy expected from a fresh dish, which left me somewhat disappointed. Despite this, Siam Siam is still a fantastic spot for quality Thai food, especially if you’re craving that authentic Pad Thai experience.

Unfortunately my experience with Siam Siam wasn't great. It was a busy Saturday night and despite having booked, there was no table available when we arrived, so we had to wait about quarter of an hour after our booking time. Then after ordering we waited an hour and a half for the food to arrive, which quite frankly, is unacceptable. It's not cheap and most the dishes were average, with one (the steamed fish) tasting off. When I pointed this out to the server, she simply said 'sorry you didn't enjoy it' There are so many good Thai restaurants in Brighton, I wouldn't waste my time, going back and trying them again. But I guess it's placed on a real tourist street, so they can survive on non-repeat business.

Ordered Pad Thai noodles and red curry with pork + rice. The Pad Thai had a typical Thai flavor, but after eating more than half, it felt quite greasy. The red curry was impressive, full of spices, but the portion of pork was a bit too small. If the rice was included without an extra charge, it would have been a nicer touch. Service was just average. I also ordered a lemonade — it was clearly listed as £1.90, but I ended up being charged over £3. Since I had been out all day, I didn’t bother arguing and just wanted to get back to the hotel to rest, so I let it go. On top of that, they added a service charge — I honestly don’t know what kind of service I was paying for. There won’t be a next time.
