Zero stars if I could. Horrific experience. I don’t even know where to begin. This was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had in my life. The beds felt like stone slabs and the duvet covers were absolutely disgusting—filthy with brown stains that looked like they hadn't been washed in months. There was no air conditioning, so we had no choice but to sleep with the window open. That turned into a nightmare when we were jolted awake in pure terror by someone coming through our window. It wasn’t a burglar—it was the hotel’s cleaning crew. Yes, they were using our window in our room to fold laundry on. As if that wasn’t disturbing enough, they were also dropping heavy laundry bags from the top floor down to the ground outside our window, some 50 feet up. The sound was deafening and terrifying. We asked them repeatedly to stop. They didn’t. I went to the front desk and was assured it wouldn’t happen again—but sure enough, it did the very next morning. To make matters worse, we saw cleaning staff sleeping on freshly cleaned towels—yes, the same towels meant for guests. Everywhere we looked, there were bugs crawling around, and we even saw rats running by. The shower temperature changed from ice cold to scalding hot on its own, with zero warning. I cannot believe this place is legally allowed to operate. Save yourself the stress, discomfort, and horror—do not stay here.

I stayed here for two nights during pretty hot weather. Room temperature was quite hot because there was no air conditioning, but it's just something you have to bear with most of the hotels in this price range. Room itself was small but operable. I reserved this room type because of the fridge. It was spacious and not like one of those minibars. Hotel corridors were very narrow and it was a small maze to get in to the room, but the atmosphere and overall layout was quite nice and cozy. The noice level was a bit high for my taste, but we were able to sleep pretty well during our stay. Staff at the front desk was helpful and polite. I'd stay in this location again with this price range. Room details: Double deluxe Two nights stay for two adults Here is this hotel general checklist (+/-): + Easy check-in + All room lights working - Roomservice - Hotel has a restaurant (breakfast available) - Accessibility + Fast wifi (room) + Fridge (room) + Kettle (room) + Toiletries (room) - Bath towels (room): only small bath towels + Shower + Bathtub - High quality mattress + Extra pillows + Electronic locking (room) + Tv (room) Price-to-value ratio: Nice (260£/ 2 nights for 2) Floor surface: wood/laminate Noiciness level (0-10): 7 (street side) - is not meaning bad. It means non-existing.

Well over £200 a night in London gets you a room with a view of some air con units in a pocket of light between the back of a bunch of other bedrooms, with a window permanently ajar next to one of the beds because the air con unit in the room is drained via a length of garden hose out of the window! The beds were in bad condition with the fabric on the bases thoroughly shredded, as if an unruly pet had been let loose on them. I felt a bit embarrassed that people coming from other countries to the UK might have this as their first (or only) experience of British accommodation. The UK is not London folks! The bathroom was fine and actually had a bath as well as a shower. Handy for Paddington Station and close to a nice little park. Fine if you've got the money and you're in a jam, otherwise go elsewhere.

So let's unpack the good and the bad for this hotel. We will start with the good|The Pros:|●They were extremely responsive when an email was sent. As an American, I couldn't call the hotel as it was international so I had to email questions and they responded very quickly every time|●They were extremely professional and nice every step of the way. We stayed for 4 nights before heading somewhere else on our adventure but I never felt they were annoyed with my many questions |●We were concerned about the heat in June since we come from Florida where we know heat but we asked to be placed in a room that had AC. We also had 5 different rooms for our group. I understood this was just a request and couldnt be guaranteed but they were able to accommodate all of us having a room with AC upon check in|● It is extremely convenient to Paddington Station. We were able to get to many places using the public transport which is nice|●It is clean. Which is a major point|●We booked a separate room to hold our big luggage while we were traveling other parts of Europe and we were going to return to pick it up the night before we planned to check out but there was a delay with our train in Amsterdam so when we called, they assured us it was no problem and they would put our luggage in a secure location until we were able to grab them|Now the Cons:|●To have an AC unit, you either need to have a room in the basement or the 1st floor. Every other floor had windows you could open and therefore was not equipped with an AC unit. It didnt bother me too much but I did have some family members who werent pleased with this and asked to be moved to a higher floor even if it didnt have AC. They moved them without a problem and still had a smile|● The shower was so small. I felt like it was a cruise ship shower. Barely enough room to close the doors and the shower head was directly above and since you couldnt lean to keep your head out of the water, you either wash your hair everytime or wear a shower cap|●There was a room that one of my realtives got on the 1st floor which claimed to have an AC unit. There was one but it was blowing warm the entire time. (Disclaimer: I do believe they would have moved them if we said something but I wasnt aware of this situation until the night before we checked out and by that time, it was too late) however, im adding it because it should have worked in the beginning, just know if its not working, make sure you say something. They are very good with requests|● The shower in everyones room had a slow drain. So no matter where we showered, it would flood on us|● My son had an accident in his bed so I needed to change the sheets but when I was asking the housekeeper for new sheets, she just kept telling me she couldnt give me a new mattress. This is not what I was asking for at all and I wasnt even asking her to change them. I just needed new sheets. I solved that by going to the front desk and explaining and I guess they explained it to her because she showed up later with the linens required with an apology for the misunderstanding |●This is at the bottom because while it was annoying, it wasn't a deal breaker but I wanted to mention it. The breakfast is still not available. It shows it online when you are booking it but when you arrive, they tell you its temporarily closed. Not a huge deal since there were plenty of places to eat in the area but it was mildly annoying since its still being advertised but not really available. ||So the good points outweighed the bad points but Im not convinced I would stay here again. If the bad points I listed wouldnt really bother you, then this is still a wonderful place to stay. Especially if its just a few days but I dont know if I would recommend more then...

Great quality for the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are new looking, and you can't beat the location.

The staff was very helpful. The woman on duty when I arrived let me check in two hours early, which she really didn't have to. When I came back to the hotel another day and found my takeaway meal didn't come with utensils, another member of the staff nipped down to the breakfast room and got me a fork. My only wish would be for a "do not disturb" sign; the housekeeping staff come every day whether you want them to or not.

While I have lived in dorm rooms that were larger than the combined size of the bed/bath area of my room here, it was still enough space for one (medium-sized) traveler. The bathroom was a little cramped, but the rainfall shower head was nice and the water was always nice and hot. The bed was comfortable without being overly soft. The only two things I really missed were an in-room safe and a mini-fridge. I can understand the lack of a fridge due to space constraints, but the wardrobe has enough room for a safe, I think.

Breakfast was more than adequate for the needs of the hungry tourist; toast, cereal, eggs, sausages, beans, croissants, and yogurt were all on offer. The wifi was a little flaky (they probably need a repeater for the upper floors), but free wifi is still free wifi.

The hotel is two blocks from Paddington Station, which is where the express train service from Heathrow lets off. Paddington is also on three major Tube lines, has numerous bus stops around it, and has rail connections to Windsor and Oxford if you want to do a day trip. There's a bunch of restaurants in the area, a few banks, and a Sainsbury's and a Marks & Spencer's in the station if you want to buy snacks.

All in all, I would stay here again. I'm not sure how more than one person would fare in the largest rooms, but as a single traveler on a budget I got more than my...

I booked this hotel back in November 2024 as my husband had just managed to get tickets to an event in Hyde Park in July 2025. I messaged the hotel at the time and asked about parking and was advised that there was parking on site for £20 extra to the already £240 I had paid. Okay fair enough, the location was great and perfect for Hyde Park so we accepted that. I did message the hotel closer to the time to make sure the car parking space would be available as we had travelled from East Anglia, but all I got was the same generic email with an identical message as the first time I messaged. We arrived and were able to secure said parking space and paid the £20. Went up to the room and it was fine but it was on the 4th floor and was insanely warm. There was a fan in the wardrobe however this did very little to cool the room as it didn't seem to be putting out cool air. The double bed seemed very small and, as the floors were laminate, the bed would slide whenever we sat up in bed. The next morning we went down and I enquired about the breakfast as, at the time of booking, it was available. There was no breakfast. No recompense for there not being a breakfast, or even perhaps a refund on the car parking. Very disappointing so we walked to find breakfast, passing all the other hotels in the row that were serving breakfast. I did check in the website on the morning and it was still advertising "complimentary breakfast". Hopefully this has now been amended and perhaps the price lowered! Great location but I think there would be far better options for the...
