First of all there was nobody at reception when we arrived yesterday and was waiting 20 minutes to check in .
Then we finally got checked in our room wasn’t cleaned ( I have attached a picture )
So I requested they move our room and so they moved us into a smaller room only for the light in there to broken .
We left our things there because we had a booking and we were going to be late so we went out and when we came back at around 22:45 we couldn’t get into our rooms and nobody was at reception again .
Somebody eventually turned up after about 20 minutes again ( so this is the second time that the building had no body in the premises which is a health and safety hazard at the very least )
When we spoke to him about our issues he said it’s not his problem because he had just started his shift and wouldn’t print us a key because he said we should speak to the manager .
He then began to say things like don’t make me get mad and I will get crazy .
After the way he was treating us and the way the building was being run we deemed it unsafe to stay there so we had to book another property on booking.com to stay for The night
For this reason I would like to request a refund . Completely unacceptable conditions , customer service and violent workers . I couldn’t stay there and had to pay to stay somewhere else

I would reccomend that YOU NEVER STAY HERE .
The Property is left insecure whilst the workers aren’t there so anybody can just walk in .
No fire safety protocols and the place is dirty
The worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. Unsafe , unclean and unresponsive .
I never ever write reviews but this was soooo bad that I had to let people know .

Read moreDON'T STAY AT THE J HYDE PARK HOTEL!!||It was supposed to be a wonderful last days of April. Oh boy, I couldn't be more wrong.||I've booked this place on 4th April for 27-30th April. My horror started even before I arrived at the place, but hold on with me.||After 5 hour journey, I stepped into the hotel. Then, the lady at the reception desk told me that "there was some maintenance issue with my room" and that I could not stay at this place. She gave me no other clear reason for what happened.||But most importantly, she said that something happened the day before my arrival.||I didn't receive any call, message, or email from the hotel the day before I arrived. The receptionist found me a different place, but it was WAY below what I'd booked, a place on the 4th floor with no elevator and high steps. Moreover, when I got there, the place was dirty it hadn't been cleaned before my arrival.||Because of the"maintenance issue," I wasn't able to go to one of the galleries which I wanted to see. I didn't receive any additional/extra services from the hotel in this situation.||The hotel chose to hide their head in the sand - they didn't reply to any of the Booking messages as well as my private email.||On their site, you can read: "J Hyde Park Hotel is founded on a strong practice and is committed to maintaining excellent and efficient service." - What a shameful lie.||I've booked many stays through Booking and a few in London in previous years, but it was the worst traveling experience in my life.||TL, DR: There are thousands of places to stay in London.
