I stayed for two nights while visiting the college campus. Upon check-in, the guy who checked me in kept snatching my card and withholding it from me, not allowing me to have my own card. I tried flipping it to the back to show him it matched my ID, and he just took it instead. then, when he told me to swipe it and I went to take my card to swipe, he was hesitant and pulled my card back as if I was not going to swipe my own card. Now, the night auditor? she needs some people training and understand what quiet hours are. I got in about 11:10, went to the room, sat in the jacuzzi, and ordered dinner. I had ordered it at about one am, and when it arrived, the night auditor was with the door dasher banging and screaming at my door at 1 am. I was getting dressed and hollered to stop banging, but I would be right there. She obviously didn't hear me and proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs after banging like the police, "DOORDASHHHH HELLO!" as if it was her job to deliver me food. It wasn't. That was unnecessary of her to do that at my door when other guests were trying the rest. Doordash allows the order to be left as a no-contact delivery. The next morning at about 8:45 or so, I was in an online meeting and couldn't get to the door to ask for housekeeping when they were there. I went to the desk and asked for a laundry bag and stay-over service, saying that I would be gone most of the afternoon. I returned to a room uncleaned and the bed unmade; they never showed up to clean my room like I had double and triple-checked with the front desk. Regarding room cleanliness, when I turned the tub on, little hairs floated to the surface after turning the jets on. Luckily, I had disinfectant cleaning stuff that I used to re-wipe everything, including the inside of the jets, because that's nasty. When cleaning the jacuzzi, I would recommend using a solution that can be mixed with the water and run with the jets for about 15-20 minutes as the housekeeper cleans the rest of the room to ensure the cleanliness of all parts of the tub. I would also recommend that the Night Auditor chat with the manager regarding those quiet hours and ensure that she doesn't do that to other guests; in a hotel setting, guests' number one priority is the rest they get...
Read moreThe hotel was very clean and staff was very inviting upon first arrival. We have a 3 and 4 year old (boys) and had reserved the suite with the bunk beds. Unfortunately, we couldn't check in until after 10pm, but that wasn't an issue. When our boys saw the bunk bed they were ESTATIC! Most hotels don't offer suites where the kids get their own space so finding this online was a shock factor.
The "kids room" does have a door to separate the suite. It also has a small kids table with two chairs, two chest dressers, a bunk bed, and a/c unit for the room. All in all was very VERY cool. HOWEVER, my eldest was trying to get on and off the top bunk and within 5 min of him FALLING off the bed we had calls in from the front desk, but the receiver was unplugged. I can ensure you, we didn't unplug it or even look at it when we came in. I called down to the front desk from the secondary phone on the desk and one of the women on staff was very understanding and sweet and concerned about my sons little tumble. She explained that the other woman from the front desk was on her way up to talk to us, no problem. When the other woman from the front desk came, she told us if they call we need to answer, which I explained I had but that the bed side table phone wasn't connected. Even after apologizing and explaining what had happened with my son, she didn't seem to care instead she informed me that the floors were very thin, and if they received another noise complaint that they would have to charge us?!
If you're going to have a very rare amenity like a children's room, WHY put it on the 3rd floor with thin floors? My son likes to go potty at night so I couldn't get much restful sleep because my concern that my 4 year old would wake up at any point to go but even walking across the floor (heavy feet) would cause us to have a fine! Which he did twice... Have you ever had to explain to a sleepy toddler that they have to sneak to the bathroom?
Other than the anxiety and slight rudeness, our stay was clean, bed was very comfortable, and the cool light fixtures on top of the armoire and TV's gives it a nice low...
