We went to Stacy's 3 weeks ago.I had visited this store a few months prior and really liked the sales associate Jeanie and I asked for her when we walked in. We liked a Sideboard/buffet that was on sale but still a bit pricey. I did not want to spend as much on a single piece ( we had to furnish a 6K sq ft home ), but since I really liked it, we decided to purchase it.But jeanie informed us that its out of stock though we could take the display .So I started to look at it more carefully when a bald headed man showed up and intruded without introducing himself saying " there is nothing wrong with this piece". I should have ignored him, but I said yes there is and I showed him some marks .He started wiping the marks off with his sleeve 🤔saying " it's just fingerprints, see... it's going away ". The marks were not going away, but instead of arguing, I showed him a very visible scratch wondering how he attempts to wipe the scratch off ! He then said ok we'll make it look like new before we deliver it to you . I noticed that the doors hinges needed adjustments as well. I called my husband over and asked him to check the doors and to see if he is ok with us taking home a display item. This bald guy whose name I later found out to be " DORIAN ", intruded again taking to my husband about the hinges. Dorian then walked away , again no " thank you for coming in" , no "good bye, or see you later" , nothing . I told Jeanie we'll take the display and I started looking for side tables and accent chairs, etc.... My husband asked me who the bald guy was. I asked why ? Well apparently Dorian told my husband that he's " ALLOWING " us to take the floor model ! What ? ALLOWING ? I asked Jeanie who this rude being was ? Jeanie said he's a son/or a close relative of Mr.Stacy . I told her what he said and she started apologizing for him . I said no no Jeanie , I am walking out and unless HE apologizes, we will never come back. I was looking for such a buffet/side board for months, so imagine his attitude for me to forget all about buying furniture . As we were walking out I saw Jeani talking to him , but Dorian did not make a move. Now, if they don't need anyone's business, then why bother putting pieces on sale ? Obviously he was placing his ego above the benefit of the business and above all those sale associates who are there on 100% commission trying to make a living. But what can one expect from an individual whose family has handed him a job (possibly other things too)on a silver platter ? This guy not only managed to hurt his family business running out a customer , but also managed to rob Jeanie out of her commission. Dorian needs to be taken off the floor and sent to customer relations classes so to learn how to respect customers if not people in general .He acted arrogantly as if he's doing us a favor by " allowing" us to make a purchase. This review is intended entirely for his family members . Because they won't hear it from sales associates who stay and those who quit might say something but have it fall on deaf ears since no one listens to disgruntled employees. Managers or supervisors should be empowering , encouraging and helping their sales reps not to jeopardize their sales and cost them their hard earned commission. I found exactly the same piece elsewhere , but hopefully something will improve for the sake of the...
Read moreI purchased home theater chairs from Stacy Furniture, that started peeling and cracking after only being sat in a few times. When I contacted the store, they initially explained that that's what the warranty is for. When I contacted the manufacturer, although I provided documentation proving I had just bought the chairs, they claimed the cracking and peeling was from normal wear and tear. And when I tried to interface with the store again, they did their best to avoid me. I finally ended up going back to the store, found a manager, and demanded they take care of the problem. He promised I would be contacted by the head office, who would process my refund. I patiently waited a week and a half and then started calling again.
After months of calling and complaining, as well as making several more trips to the store, they finally offered me a partial store credit. I told them in no uncertain terms I would never be shopping there again. I was told the credit would be on my account, in case I ever wanted to use it in the future.
A few years later, following a series of personal tragedies, I was broke and in need of a new bed. So I called the store, numerous times, about my credit, but was only able to speak to underlings. One of them was able to find a memo of some sort about my credit but was unable to apply it. She said she was going to have a manager call me to take care of it. Guess what, I never heard from a manager. So, after calling them two or three times a week, and being promised time and time again that someone would call me back, I finally just gave up and ordered a cheap bed from Amazon.
I'm providing photographs, that were taken in the first 30 days, of the peeling and cracking I...
Read moreDon’t. Just don’t. Buying here is frankly just too much work (And disappointment) for me. First, you’ll need to find a sales person. Trust me, it’s true. Might as well have tumble weeds blowing through the store. I made a purchase from Mary in June for some living room furniture with an estimated delivery date of August 5. I thought she was wonderful. Gave her a budget and needs and she went to work for me. Once I left the store it’s been all on me. Multiple phone calls. Majority not returned. Delivery date and information keeps changing. It’s in the warehouse It’s not in the warehouse . Even Mary now sounds like there’s an undercurrent of total apathy. I have no idea when I’ll get my furniture . Also I am completely aware and understanding covid has made everything delayed. Is it unreasonable to expect phone calls to be returned and/or periodic updates to be given to the customer. I think they should reimburse my $189 delivery fee for my inconvenience but I won’t ask them. Working with them or calling again is just pointless. I’m over it. My furniture will come or not. In three more weeks or three more months. Who knows? However, I can recommend a good store for you- Go to Weir’s. Great sales people, great selection and reliable. Wish I’d have gone there. They’ve never...
