Updated Review Last couple of months I gave them another chance, but that was the last time. They’ve lost me, my family, friends, and coworkers’ business. It’s close by, but I’d rather drive further to other restaurants than eat here again.
The reason: dosa. They messed up my dosa with stale sambhar, and the dosa itself was hard and crispy like a papad. I told the guy making it not to make it that hard, and the second time he still made it the same way. When I brought it up, instead of acknowledging or fixing it, they bragged about making dosas all their life and laughed. That’s blunt disrespect.
If you respect the money I bring to your business, I’ll respect your business. But if your staff laughs at feedback and serves stale food, then it’s no surprise customers walk away. Sorry, owner you may not know what’s happening in your kitchen, but because of your staff, you will lose your business.
I know you will give me a review that bragged about others has not complain yet and that same review to handle the objection but it would not work with the authentic person who give genuine review

Old Review Desi Chichas had a lot of promise based on their social media, but the actual experience was disappointing. I asked for paneer dosa—“on break.” Tried paneer sandwich—“can’t make it.” Went for quesadillas—“we don’t serve that.” If items aren’t available, they shouldn’t be on the menu.
What we did get wasn’t great either. The Irani chai was overly sweet, and the samosa was so oily you could see it soaking through the tray. It felt like more focus was put on the hype than on quality or consistency. Someone needs to step up and fix this.

Read moreI was en route to another restaurant for a healthier choice after a long day. Seeing Desi Chichas, I made a u-turn quickly and entered. The inside of this restaurant is vibrant with colorful murals on the walls. The staff was kind, considerate, and excited about what they were offering Allen residents, and I agree.
I had about a 12 min wait for my food- paneer tiki masala. While waiting, I was offered a chai tea that has me telling all the people. This tea is so so good- warm spices, creamy milk. I encouraged another customer to try as it was so amazingly good. Also while I waited, a veggie-ladened samosa appeared and it was heaven. Crispy outside and filled to the max inside. Every dish that was walked past me smelled so good.
Once my order was ready, I raced home to eat and it was delicious. The jasmine rice was fluffy and perfect. The paneer was divine. I could have used a bit more spice but they gave me mild, probably for fear this old gringa couldn’t take it. The bread served along with the meal was charry, chewy, and delicious. I’m sorry to say that I inhaled it all before pictures could be take. I will be back. I’m excited to navigate through this menu and see what all amazing flavors lie in wait for me. Please. Please, come and support this restaurant. Allen needs diversity in food choices and somethings other than chain restaurants. This...
Read moreAs someone visiting from New York, I was craving authentic South Indian flavors, and I stumbled upon this gem in Allen, TX — and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the moment I saw the extensive menu full of Pulavs, Biryanis, and curries, I knew I was in for something special.
I tried the Military Chicken Pulav, and it immediately transported me back to the bustling streets of Hyderabad. The aroma, the perfectly cooked rice, and the bold spices — everything was spot on.
Next, I ordered the Chicken Dum Biryani — and wow! The layers of flavor, the tender chicken, and the fragrant basmati rice. It’s honestly one of the best biryanis I’ve had in the U.S.
For starters, I couldn’t resist trying the Jalapeno Chicken from the Non-Veg appetizers section. It was a fusion surprise — spicy, tangy, and addictive. The perfect appetizer to share (though I didn’t want to!).
Among the curries, I chose the Butter Chicken. The Butter Chicken was creamy, rich, and beautifully balanced — not overly sweet like many places make it. Creamy spiced gravy that paired perfectly with naan.
This place honestly gave me a taste of home in every bite. The spice, the soul, the warmth — all of it reminded me of India. Whether you’re from Dallas or just visiting like I was, this spot is a must-try for anyone craving real Desi...
