Today, 1/25/2024. The gym decides to take all our stuff from the locker and through out behind the reception office. And everything on the floor as it is in the picture littary all my personal items was showing. My cycling shoes are $120 through in different parts my shower items my shampoo was open and mess up all the thing was in my bag and other person bag. My shower towel. And I can't find some of my items in my bag. My shower gel, my shower spong, my makeup foundation, makeup brushes, lip glosses , and my earing jewelry. I need my expensive items. And of course, a new locker, they broke it. I didn't realize the paper they hung in very small area, and it is hidden till someone told me they cleaned up. Why do I need to carry out all these items every day to the gym. Therefore, they have an Enough locker and are always empty, so there no reason to take out our stuff. It is frustrating to see everyone had to see my personal items. If that gym is more organized and they really car. How about you clean the bathroom as it should be. It is always stinky. How about fixing the clock in the group exercises room. How about fixing the big changing room has been closed for over then 4 months now. How about putting a hanger in 2 of changing rooms is missing. How about the management need to be more helpful. Back ine une 2023, when I signed up for my personal trainer and Shane was the trainer didn't freeze my account, and I got charged for another 2 months, which was $480 on something I don't really need it again. And when I had to start with another personal trainer, we did one month because they said I only paid one month instead of 2. Even when I showed, then my bank statement of 2 months chared I do have to all the approved of text messages between me and the trainer. And whiout I contacted to second trainer they never gonna contacted me. Ps: After FC replay, it is not my mistake you hired some idiot worked on the reception had to tell me every that I can leave my own stuff in the locker instead to hold all these everyday as far as you have a lock to prevent any one to take your stuff. I understand the gym is not responsible for the lost item, but that's mean if I left them in public but some one stolen my expensive perfume and expensive foundation and I report that to the frontband no one help how Fitness connection can recompense me with YSL perfume $155 and Nars foundation $45 which I lost more stuff from my inside closed bag and when I picked my stuff up from behind the counter was open. That means whoever broke the lock and took our stuff out (as you said for cleaning)was in purpose opened the bags to look what inside and took what's in it. If Fitness connection really care about the customer services as they said and respects your customer Gently and nice print this paper instead of small hidden corner you can put inside the changing rooms or bathroom or mirror or even in the wall next to the lockers instead of steel...
Read moreI have to say that the times I went everyone was friendly. I only used the women’s section at the gym and it was clean and well maintained. They do have a high turn over rate and 3 different managers have been through during my time as a member and that is never a good sign. They also continue to choose to limit their hours and all the amenities are not available.
I signed up with my husband in 2020. I was going to cancel in Dec 2021 but the representative on the phone convinced me to just put it on hold. I forgot all about it and then they started charging the monthly fees again. I became handicapped and at this point I called to cancel 4 days after they withdrew the annual fees from my account. They did not care, as it is stated on the agreement it is non-refundable, I did not pay attention to that part. I was aware they needed a 30 day notice period. However, if you do it in the middle of the month instead of the 1st of the month they will still charge you a full month for the following period. They will not prorate. Fine. But it makes them look very unethical when they’re charging you for something that you will not be using anyway. I paid an annual fee for others to use the facility in the next 12 months basically. All of that is in the fine print agreement and that’s all right as it is a law binding contract. You just have to outsmart them. And mark your calendars if you anticipate to terminate. If you continue to use it through the very last day then it’s ok but that will not be our case. When I explained to the rep. ALFREDO LEYVA on the phone that 30 days was not the date he stated on the “Change Request” that he emailed us as we spoke on the phone he had a very confrontational tone and he said to read the agreement because it wasn’t his fault I did not comprehend what he was telling me. WOW!!! When I recover and I do go back to the gym, it will not be Fitness Connection for sure! Just for their poor ethics and for insulting...
Read moreApril 2021 update: with a return to Sunday availability, and masks finally no longer mandated, I’m upping my review to 4 stars. 24 hours would be nice but the hours as-is work for 95% of patrons I’m sure, including myself. The new manager seems to care and will address faulty equipment if you bring it to the attention of the front desk. If they would return all equipment to service instead of removing the seats from some for social distancing it would help at peak times.
I don't like that they used COVID as an excuse to change from 24/7 hours to bankers hours to cut costs (even being closed on Sunday), while keeping the membership fee unchanged. It would be safer to remain open 24/7 to spread out patrons. They claim its for cleaning but cleaning staff sure aren't in there the 50%+ of the time it is closed.
Besides that, many pieces of equipment have dangerous loose bolts and other issues and are not fixed, implying no routine inspections are performed. Also half the equipment have the seat cushions removed in a well meaning, but ultimately ineffective attempt to try to enforce social distancing.
Still, hard to complain for $20/mo ($10/mo plus regularly billed lump fees). I would be happy with a return to 24/7 availability and all the equipment being usable and in good repair. It's a viable alternative to the many $50/mo gyms out there, but a few simple fixes would really make them a...
