I have been going to Hobby Lobby in Allen, Texas, since I moved to Allen. I used to like my experience in this store but lately the custumer service has deteriorated. Yesterday, Saturday, March 6th, around 4:20 p.m., I went to the store and started picking up some flowers for my daughter's wedding. It took me an hour and so to coordinate my selection and colors. I got the materials I needed for the arrangement and ended with a cart full of goods. Then, I decided to buy the fabrics I need (by the way, all the ladys who work on the fabric cutting table are super nice and attentive). I put my full cart by the cutting table (right near me) and started the selection of fabrics with the help of the lady encharged of the cutting table. Then, when I finished, I look for my cart and it wasn't there. I started asking all the personnel with the help of the lady who just was helping me with the fabrics. We asked several times to the lady who works in the flower section (an asian lady) and she denied several times to all of us to have seen the cart. I looked all over the store thinking that I was loosing my mind and, finally, I decided to leave the store; only with my fabrics. When I was waiting to paid at 6:10 pm., I saw the CO-MANAGER and I approached him and told him what have happened to me. I was surprised by his despective and very agressive replay to my complain and he said:"Well... that is our Store Policy when a cart is unattended for 5 minutes we take it away...," then, he turned his face away from me and ignored me. He didn't apologized nor he tried to show, at least, a fake interest. Everybody was looking and, even the young cashier felt sorry for me and offered to help me. I am a 70 years old lady who spent more than and hour choossing flowers and decorations and who had a cart full (over $400 on goods) by her side at the cutting table and, in a blink of an eye, without asking, someone took my cart and empty it. By the way, at that moment, I was very tired and so frustrated that I wanted to sit down and cry. But, the worst thing was to see how the asian lady (encharged of the flowers) lied to me and the way the CO -MANAGER treated me. HOBBY LOBBY, ALLEN, TEXAS, A CHRISTIAN BUSINESS WHO DELITES HIS CUSTOMERS WITH A GREAT SELECTION OF OLD BEAUTIFUL HYMNS, THAT I LOVE, TREAT ITS CUSTOMERS WITHOUT RESPECT (ENCOURAGED BY ITS MANAGEMENT WHO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE SITUATIONS LIKE THIS AND MAKE THE COMPANY TO LOOSE MONEY AND REPUTATION. AS AN INTERIOR DECORATOR, I USED TO VISIT THIS STORE VERY OFTEN AND THE MANAGEMENT DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR COSTUMERS. I HAD BETTER EXPERIENCES IN PLANO AND...
Read moreIf I could give them no Stars that's exactly what it would be. Gary, is on the returns line today and decided he was go make it obvious how racist he is. It's pouring down raining. After doing my returns I had 3 receipts that belonged to 3 difficult people in my crafts class. Since I don't have a purse I asked if he could keep them separate and place them with the cash in a tiny bag he told me no if I had any shopping to do. So my Craft class mate who is of a diddent race had w returns and decided to see what he would say to her but little did he know she had me on FaceTime so I could see and hear. Well Gary gave her 2 sacks plus a large sack to put over her head so her hair didn't get wet. All after she said she needed to run back to framing he said no problem have a good day. Now do to this being the 2 time this has happen at the Allen store I'm definitely reporting this matter because it's not right that blacks get profiled like we do. I'm a professional designer and felt insulted from the beginning of Gary examining the items I brought back like he did and then he call a manager and she even asked what was wrong and looked at him crazy and told him to proceed with the return. Gary is not the right person to have dealing with customers because anyone else might have took things to another level with him instead of looking over what was obvious. I hope Hobby Lobby Corp. See this review and does what's best because other customers will soon be reporting...
Read moreSuper impressed with the cleanliness and professional appearance throughout this entire location. I'm especially impressed with the exceptional customer service my elderly grandmother and I received from a young lady named Rachel. She was so polite and curtious while holding the door for my Grandma as we entered the store, and went even further to mention the special promotions that were available that day, which we very much took advantage of and decided to purchase that very same day. We wouldn't have bought anything had it not been for the over the top customer service bestowed upon us by such a kind and polite associate in Rachel. Her knowledge of the store and professional and kind demeanor is exactly what all retail stores should seek out in their employees. A positive ambassador of your brand throughout. Thank you again Rachel and to the entire Hobby Lobby Allen, TX team for going above and beyond for me...
