Overall, its a very basic hotel but great value for the area! We came in for a 2 night stay to visit Disneyland and California Adventure during Halloween weekend. It was clean walking in and through the halls. You could smell the cleaning supplies which I liked! The gentleman at check in was very pleasant. However, I called before to ask what other fees were going to be charged upon check in and was told that there were no other fees. So I was very thrown back by the $100 incidental charge. This is supposed to be reversed within 3-5 business days after checking out.
The room: we reserved the wellness room with 2 queen beds. It was bigger than I expected which was cool. It was comes with an air purifier, foam mattresses, cable etc. I loved the sliding mirror door to the bathroom and the little nook that has a fridge, microwave and keurig. It was just us 2 girls traveling and we felt safe here, especially with the extra security lock on the door and well lit hotel and parking lot. Also, the hotel sits on a very busy street with the Anaheim Garden Walk being a 2 minute walk. We loved this and felt very safe walking in this area and loved that there are numerous food and convenience stores. We didn't have to go far for anything! There's also a Target about a 5 minute drive away with LOADS of disney items.
However, inside the room, one of the beds had dirty sheets and we thought the bathroom didn't have any hand soap. Apparently they use "body bars" as the handsoap so I had requested them to bring handsoap. With all of the cleaning measures it seems they take, I would have appreciated something more sanitary than sharing soap bars to wash your hands. The gentleman at the front made sure to get us the clean sheets and more soap though. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a little too firm for my liking but hey, that's just me. The floors were also a little dirty and in need of a shampooing. I liked being able to open a window to let fresh air in! Overall, I wish that I felt as excited about the room cleanliness as I did the lobby/hall cleanliness. But in reality I am a bit more of a germaphobe and will spot even the little things so others will be satisfied with the overall cleanliness.
Parking: parking is free! I chose to park in the underground lot which is gated and requires a room key to access. I felt so much safer and had a better peace of mind knowing my car was more secure.
Proximity to disney: its literally across the street. You can't beat the price for how close you are to disney. If you walk up the street you have access to the passenger drop off entrance (minutes away). However, we decided to drive since we over slept and ended up at the Mickey and friends lot. This was maybe 5-7 min drive away. We loved being able to come back to the hotel to take breaks! However, disney is not operating the trams right now (I believe because of covid). This has nothing to do with the hotel itself but I thought I should mention it as you will have to walk about 15 minutes after the security checkpoint in disney just to get to the actual park entrance gate. But again, this has nothing to do with the hotel and everything to do with Disney.
Would we stay again: maybe! It was a good value for the proximity to disney, and the Anaheim garden walk. I would probably just opt for a regular queen deluxe room though because the wellness room didn't really seem to be worth the...
Read moreThis is quite an extensive review based on a necessary room switch and a lot of interaction with staff.
We selected this location based on its walkability and proximity to Anaheim Convention Center and Disney. It was indeed incredibly convenient and very walkable to both locations. There is also free parking, which is unheard of in this high demand area! You can park your car securely in the underground garage and walk everywhere you need to go! Very close to CVS and Walgreens, also close to many food options.
The hotel itself was very clean and staff was friendly and welcoming. We had booked a standard king room initially but found that the AC was not working. It was still 85° 2 weeks ago when we stayed, so this 3rd floor room was a very hot 75°. We spoke with the desk immediately who told us housekeeping may have just turned it on so it would need time to cool down. We went to the Convention Center to pick up our credentials for the convention we were going to (Blizzcon) and hoped it would cool down. Upon our return, it did not. We brought it to the attention of the front of house staff again and they brought up housekeeping/maintenance who adjusted some settings and asked us to let it do it’s work, we obliged and went for food. We came back and the room was still exactly 75°. We spoke with the desk again. This time, Freddy and a coworker (who’s name I unfortunately do not remember, I’m so sorry) helped us out. They apologized for the inconvenience and even though they were virtually sold out, were able to switch us to another King Room, this time a King Suite. So what was easily about to be a horrible experience was brought around by this 5 Star Service and I just want to make mention of this for those still reading. The desk staff here were very eager to ensure our happiness and satisfaction after we had patiently dealt with the initial inconvenience of the broken AC.
The initial room, the Standard King, was a corner room and very nice, aside from the broken AC. It came with a Keurig and pods, a mini fridge, 2 bottles of water and microwave. The bed was a little soft, but very clean, bathroom was nice and the toiletries were appreciated.
The upgraded room, The King Suite, was immaculate. The bed was comfortably firm, the air purifier was a great addition and the bathroom was gigantic. The bathtub was heavenly, though the distance from the spout to tub does make a bit of a water splatter mess but I spent a beautiful afternoon soaking in this giant tub. This unit also comes with same mini fridge, Keurig and microwave as the Standard King and the same bathroom toiletries.
The fitness center was clean and empty. The door locks and you can only enter with a keycard, so it felt very safe when I was working out alone. It smelled brand new and the machines worked great!
The pool area was also very clean and secure and I felt like I had the whole place to myself. They offer plenty of pool towels.
They do also have a Starbucks Partner on site, the hours for this are strange though. 6:30am-11:30am and then 5pm-10pm. Just something to note if you plan to get coffee in the AM.
After all of the hullabaloo, the staff still allowed me a late checkout and even allowed me to leave my car for a few extra hours. Big thanks to Jennifer for the late checkout and parking assistance! I really can’t say enough good things about this staff. We’ll be...
Read moreI had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham Anaheim. I was in town for the convention center with my partner and the distance to the convention center is no more than 10 minutes away. The location of the hotel is great as well since you’re surrounded by the Garden Walk, Walgreens, CVS, and tons of food options on harbor. As soon as I checked into the hotel I was welcomed by the front desk immediately. They were very friendly and straight forward since it was late when we checked in so we had access to our room right away. From first impression the room is extremely clean. Everything was neatly placed and shampoo and conditioner are supplied in the shower with body wash. The beds are sooo amazing! One of the best beds I’ve slept in at a hotel. They’re so soft and comfortable. Even the pillows are a nice softness as well. I had amazing sleep each night from each busy day. At the time of my stay the hotel was quiet on my floor. There was not alot of noise from the floors above me. Every time the house keeping stopped by they left the rooms spotless. They were very good at cleaning up from each day and they always placed my plushies on the bed which was super cute! I really appreciated that they took out our daily trash and left the beds nice and neat. The facilities of the hotel were well kept and really clean. Even though it’s the summer there wasn’t many people swimming in the pool so I had access to the pool with my family privately. They had towels stocked up every day at the pool as well in case you don’t have towels. The gym is super clean as well. The lobby and just the hotel in general is super well kept and clean throughout my stay. Overall I would definitely stay here again! I will keep the Wyndham in mind when I stay for the convention center or want to stay a weekend for Disneyland! Thank you so much...
