IHOP is IHOP. If you love breakfast or you like IHOP, then this one is exactly what you'd expect.
They ran out of kids' menus, but there is a section of the regular menu that has all the kid friendly items. The problem: it takes some flipping to get to, so the kids start picking items from the adult menu. Unfortunately, on this day, I was out numbered 4:1, but luckily, our server, Sarah, was really helpful redirecting the kids to the kiddie version of whatever they picked off the regular menu.
We were there for a birthday & they gave the kid ice cream topped with whipped cream & spinkles at 9am. I didn't know beforehand that that's what the birthday treat was. But I allowed it because it was a special bday & we were going to an amusement park afterward, so I knew the sugar high would be put to good use.
They have someone going around taking photos, a 5x7(?) for free, but a larger one for purchase. They printed the larger photos with "Disney (year)" on the pics. Fair enough, that IHOP is really close to Disneyland, but we were going to a totally different amusement park. So she reprinted it with "(amusement park) 2025." However, on closer look, we noticed she photoshopped 2 different pics together. I assumed it was done to get a pic of my eyes open, fair enough, I was the only adult & thus the person paying for it, but the birthday kids eyes were closed & there were other pics they could've spliced together that would've resulted in everyone's eyes being open. Luckily the birthday kid found it funny & now has a...
Read moreI don't even know where to begin. This was by far the worst experience we've had here. The waitress, Lili, had the absolute worst customer service. While we began to order, she continued to make us wait since she was attempting to use a tablet to take our order down. I had no problem waiting, even repeating my order 3 times. My issue was when she read my order back, I corrected her and instead of acknowledging her mistake, she responded with "That's what I said". I once again let her know that's not what she said and she let out a big sigh, as if there was an issue with me making sure my children's order was correct. I asked her if she was good, since she seemed to have a problem with taking our order, she responded with "yup, are you?". This was basically our entire interaction with her since she did not bring the food out, check on us for refills, or follow up to see if we need anything. One of the other staff members who brought our food practically threw the plate and hit the glass cup without apologizing. Another gave us the food for the table behind us and when we told them, they still walked off, so we had to get up and give them their food. The food wasn't that great, the customer service was lacking, and it really put a damper on our morning. My friend spoke with the manager, but nothing will change the negative experience we had. I wouldn't recommend this location, you're better off walking down the road to the other one, or try a different restaurant...
Read moreMost everything about this experience at this IHOP was well below standard. I said good morning to the hostess and their reply was "ya how many". Being seated at our table that had not been cleaned. I'm not talking about a few crumbs I'm talking about coffee cups and urns and napkins all over the table. Our waiter showed up and stood there with his mask over his lower lip and a moment of awkward silence before he said do you want to order. Our food came out and it was correct, but the proportions of scrambled eggs for all three of our orders were quite underwhelming. My kids plate was the most shocking the order came with one scrambled egg but I could have for the whole portion on a soup spoon easily. My wife and I both had 2 eggs but they honestly did not seem greater than 1. My cutlery only had a knife so I requested another set. 5 minutes later I asked another person and about 5 minutes after that they showed up.
In general people seemed to be just on autopilot not really caring about anything other than when their shift was over.
We were about 2 blocks away waiting at an intersection for the light to change and a family was talking about their experience at the IHOP and several other groups all at the light started laughing and commenting about their experience they just had also at...
