Taco Express — Restaurant in Aurora Township

This place is so weird. In a good way. They have a pretty small menu: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and salads. That's basically it. It's pretty cheap and they give you an insane amount of food. Picture a cheaper Qdoba inside a gas station, with the stereotypical gas station restaurant ambiance, with the stereotypical grumpy guy serving you. But seriously, he's always grumpy. But he gives you a lot of food. If you ask for cheese on your burrito, he scowls and basically says, "you want cheese? Well I'm gonna give you twice as much as you probably want! So deal with it!" Quesadillas are so thick with whatever you tell them to put on it, they hardly fit in the grill press. So you can imagine how big the burritos get. great food !!!! Taco express is inside the BP. I have been wanting to try this for a while since hearing about it from a lot of people. He menu has just enough stuff to have a variety but not too much to be overwhelming. Whatever you choose is made in front of you and you can pick what you want on it. We stuck with tacos. They load the tacos up and don't skimp. 2 are filling for us.. You can build your food to your liking. They have lots of options. I have been coming here since it opened. One of the early supporters. The burrito I bought last week was the smallest one I have every received here....and they had an additional charge for the queso. I think the employee literally counted the black beans out individually to make sure i did not get too many. the food quality is top notch as always, but at $13 for a burrito that is 1/2 the size it was a year ago when it was several $ less....just can't do it anymore.
