This hotel was a great place to stay, the staff was friendly and courteous. The continental breakfast menu was great. I highly recommend this hotel. @springhillbymarriott

The hotel is gorgeous and was originally a bank ages ago. It felt very luxurious for a 2-star hotel. It's an excellent hotel for the price. All you can eat breakfast is included. There is 24/7 coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate available in the lobby. There is no free cold drinking water in the lobby but there is a free water fountain in the gym on the M level that's 24/7. It's not in the safest part of town but there is usually a security offer guarding the front entrance. There is a small onsite bar but no restaurant. There is a small convenience store tucked next to the front desk that sells snacks and essentials. It is conveniently located walking distance to Lexington Market, Hippodrome theater, and the convention center. There is shampoo, conditioner, and body soap included in the showers. We had a double queen suite and there was a comfortable work station set up in our room and a thoughtful table for the couch to work from as well. Our room had a microwave and was supposed to have a mini fridge but the fridge was missing. It was obvious that housekeeping missed a few spots while cleaning the room prior to our arrival. We also had an issue with housekeeping because they entered our room while we had the "do not disturb/privacy" sign on. They changed our towels, cleaned our bathroom, and took out the trash but didn't make our beds. It was very odd. I don't believe they stole anything but the situation was very odd. There is no room safe to keep valuables so I highly encourage anyone not to leave valuables in the room. Valet was $40 a day. Regardless of our odd experience I still give this hotel 5-stars because of the low price, amenities, friendly staff, and amazing room we got from our 10th floor room.

We stayed here (room 312) due to its close proximity to the CFG Bank Arena where we were going to see Bruce Springsteen. It was a WONDERFUL visit! We also took the 15 minute walk down to the inner-harbor. There was a diverse population around our hotel, and everyone we encountered (and from whom we asked directions) were quite affable. We really liked Baltimore. The whole hotel, including our room, was nicely appointed, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and well designed (my 11-year-old, often critical, granddaughter was so impressed she took a bunch of pictures, which I'm posting). Each staff member we encountered was warm, kind and VERY accommodating. Special shout out to the valets (sorry I didn't get their names, but thank goodness they were there and so efficient and friendly). The housekeepers were detail oriented and just so nice. Chasity (the AGM?) and Ghia (bartender extraordinaire AND Franco Harris' niece) could not have been any more welcoming or attentive. The Orioles were playing the Yankees on this day and everyone's team spirit was evident and jubilant, we felt and appreciated the positive, jubilant vibes- were loyal Phils phans- but loved the spirited sense of community. I have nothing negative to say- I wish we could have stayed longer, and look forward to an opportunity to go back.

"The hotel itself was really nice, being newer. It was located in an older, unique building, which I really liked. I had booked the King Suite, and the room was large and clean. The breakfast provided was also nice, although I was never told the timing during check-in, so luckily I wake up early. Lexington Market can be considered a 'sketchy location' if you are unfamiliar with cities or lack street smarts. Just use common sense, and everything will be fine. The location is ideal for attending Orioles games, and I walked to and from the game each night.

Unfortunately, that is where the positivity ends. On my first day, around 5 pm, I called down to the front desk to inform them that the TV was not working. I was told someone would be up in 10 minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes, I had to proceed with my plans. The next morning, on my way to breakfast, I checked with the front desk around 6:45 am and asked for an update. At that point, the front desk person didn't even have a record of my request and blamed the issue on the storm the previous night. However, the TV was not working long before the storm, and I was told someone would come to fix it that morning. When I returned to my room around 1 pm in the afternoon, the TV still wasn't working. So, when I went down to the front desk to see what was happening, I found out that the maintenance man was off duty, and no one was ever coming to fix my TV. Finally, I was offered a room change, but I wasn't interested in the inconvenience after already being there for almost a day and checking out early the next morning to catch the Amtrak. The front desk person said she would be in touch regarding what they could do, but at 5 pm, there was still no update. Finally, I spoke with Jason Davis, the GM, and he told me that all the staff had to do was call tech support and have my TV reset. It was disheartening to know that was all the staff had to do and that they had put more effort into giving me the runaround. Just like the rest of his staff, Jason has also ghosted me, and I have never heard back.

I was looking forward to staying here in September for another Orioles trip, but I quickly booked another location due to this hassle. Beware and make sure your issue is fixed before leaving. They will not support you at all."

UPDATE: Lowered to one star. After again reaching out to the hotel and Gm zero response.

UPDATE: As of August 2nd the hotel finally answered my communications and resolved the problem. I still stand by my original review and this should not have taken so long. At one point they even tried to say the TV was just pixelated not broken. I have already booked trips in the future for Baltimore and it was not with this hotel, which is very...

This is a 2 star rating hotel. The area is not great at all. Be prepared to see homeless people asking for money and locals using the block, smoking and drinking as if it's their hangout spot.

The complimentary breakfast was a bonus however the kitchen and staff need to be mindful of people's dietary restrictions. The first day was great. They had labels on the food which was extremely helpful and respectful because we do not consume pork. It is strictly against our beliefs. Then the second day came. The labels were mixed up and when we asked the staff, the response was said with a flippant wave "I don't know, just eat what's there." Then when we used the coffee machine, there were white flecks in the black coffee. It does not take a genius to see that the machine has not been cleaned out. When we brought this to the staff, their response was, "Oh, that's the creamer." Since when does the creamer come out of the machine with black coffee? Especially when you can clearly see it doesn't dissolve and things are floating at the top. Utterly disgusting!!! Very lazy staff!!!

The rooms were ok. The mattress is very comfortable. The rooms are equipped with an iron w/ board, mini fridge and microwave. The television in my daughter's room didn't work. They informed the concierge and they told them to take out the plug for 10 seconds and plug it back in. Great. Just like what we do at home .. however, it still didn't work. They were without television for 3 days and 1 night and no one came up to fix it or see what the problem was.

Upon checkout, my sister was informed that there was nothing wrong with the condition of her room and received her 100.00 deposit as well as the approval letter. However, she noticed random charges on her bank card, without description, from the hotel. Very shady business!!! If you stay at this hotel, make certain that you check your bank statements!!!

Room service was ok. They replenished us with fresh towels daily. This next observation is no fault of the cleaning service, but this hotel needs to update their sheets and comforters. They were dingy and the sheets had rips in them. This hotel needs to update the sheets and towels.

The mattress was superb and the hotel was quiet. We had a good...

We came to town for a concert and the hotel itself was pretty, but that's all it had going for it. The computer system had a glitch and didnt show we had ran our card at check in so the front desk attendant thought it would be a good idea to run our card several times in a row alerting our bank to a possible fraud and turning our card off. Then wanted to argue with us when I tried asking her about it. We also didnt have our Marriott preferences set to the reservation asking for feather free as my husband is very allergic to down feathers and waited for hours for new pillows bc they forgot to bring them to us. The beds are super soft so my back was killing me and I didnt sleep good. The AC unit kept making loud squealing noises so we had to turn it off for most of our stay bc the maintenance guy couldnt figure out how to get it to stop. The TV had a severe lack of variety on channels, mostly news channels, we ended up watching YouTube and Netflix the whole time. The breakfast was pretty generic and didnt taste good. They had the usual boiled bag of rehydrated scrambled eggs that was super salty for some reason, gross bacon and sausage patties, and salty breakfast potatoes. They had a waffle machine and the usual spread of cereal. The "fresh" fruit looked like all of it should have been tossed in the garbage it was so brown. Needless to say I ate cereal bc that was really the only thing safe to eat besides the yogurt. The area of town was awful and its questionable to walk around in the daytime let alone at night. It smelled of weed, garbage, and urine. I honestly couldnt wait to leave and go back home. Supposed to be on vacation and had a awful time aside from the amazing concert we went to. I used to work for several Marriott hotels as a Sales Coordinator so that is why we chose this hotel and it was very disappointing from the guest stand point, esp since I have been on the staff side as well. The in-house Market is also embarrassingly bare and hardly had anything in it. Also, if you made it this far, If you stay here, save yourself some money and self park across the street. We didnt move our vehicle for 2 days and we paid $32 total versus $40 a day for valet for the SAME...
