M&T Bank Exchange at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center — Local services in Baltimore

We held our wedding at this venue this month and while we were always excited to find such a historic & cultural gem for our event, we were blown away by how well their team delivered and worked with our vendors when the day actually arrived!

We had a multicultural wedding with multiple setups (morning ceremony, cocktail hour on one floor, evening reception) and some moving parts, and everything was smooth and wonderful from our perspective. The M&T Bank Exchange is gorgeous inside and out, and transformed beautifully for each part of our day (the bones are so good you don't even need to do that much for decoration haha). Our expectations were absolutely exceeded on every point - from how beautiful and dynamic the lighting setup was, to how well the event flowed from one floor to the other, to how helpful the event team is behind the scenes.

Our wedding at the Exchange was being held the same night as a musical at the Hippodrome, and if I didn't already know that, I would really would have had no idea in the moment which is a testament to how good the staff is. (The only sign was that our guests could hear the musical performances from the bathrooms, which rocks).

This beautiful new theatre boasts a $20MM renovation. It is directly adjoining the Hippodrome and shares its bathrooms and concession area. However, it has its own entrance on Fayette St, and convenient connection to the parking garage (you don’t even have to go outside). This gorgeous space has the potential to really complement the existing Hippodrome Broadway touring acts by providing a smaller, more intimate space for local theater companies to operate. I saw Rent on opening night, by Iron Crow Theater Company, who boasts themselves as “Baltimore’s Premier LGBTQ+ Theater Company. The performance was excellent. One of the mics went out, but the improvised and got the show back on track. Rent is my favorite musical, so I just absolutely loved it! The Seasons of Love singalong with cast after the show was a big highlight! Absolutely 5 solid stars for the performance space and 4.5 for the show. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to experience a great theater...

I enjoyed my experience at the M&T Bank Exchange! A Great establishment with some fun time had. I really enjoyed that I could park next door in the garage and not have to come outside to enter. I went two days in a row for different Christmas parties. I am certain I will be back. Peace...
