To say that this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had would be an understatement. When I went to drop off my Nintendo Switch, Mr. Peace let me know two things: there was minimally a two week wait before I would get information about what was wrong with my Switch, and that there would be a 50$ deposit fee assessed when they figured out what was wrong. I did not have a problem with either of these at the beginning. After the first two weeks, I hadn't heard anything back and figured that wasn't unusual as I had been notified at the start there were a lot of people in front of me for repairs. At the beginning of the third week, I called Mr. Peace to follow up. He notified me that the tech would be getting to my Switch soon. This process repeated for another week and a half. After the fourth week, I just wanted my Switch back to deal with in my own time as this route had clearly been a waste of time. I tried to contact Mr. Peace and once I finally got a hold of him, the blatant disrespect and lack of any semblance of professionalism reinforced my assessment that my time was being wasted. I never once called Mr. Peace out of his name, raised my voice at him, nor speak ill of his character. Mr. Peace took it upon himself to create a false narrative that I was harassing him and directed his anger at me. When I tried to tell him all I wanted was my Switch, he said that I was being rude and unreasonable as the tech had ordered the parts and was in the middle of fixing it. At no point leading up to this had we gone over what was wrong with the switch nor the route that the technician was taking. I had zero confidence in this procedure and so I requested that whatever work was being done stop because I didn't know what was being "fixed".Mr. Peace initially informed me that I would be paying a fee of 40$ to compensate the technician for his time. I expressed my distaste of the situation as neither of these points are what we initially agreed upon. After some clarification, Mr. Peace said that he would waive the fee and return my Switch that day. Although the fee was ultimately waived as he said, my Switch was still being held by the technician. When I asked what was the holdup, I was told that the technician was busy and stopped working on my Switch. I was not asking for prioritization nor special services. I wanted my property to be returned to me. This sparked another one-sided heated conversation which ultimately ended with him saying my switch would be ready the following day. To his credit, Mr. Peace apologized for his temper and behavior, but for me, the damage has already been done. Empty promises, wasted time, and an overall lack of professionalism were the hallmarks of this interaction. This one star review is not defamation, rather an indicator of the kind of "business" Mr. Peace is operating based on my...
Read moreUnreliable repair service. Held onto my console for over 5 weeks, always a reason as to why we couldn’t pick it up, finally got it returned after multiple attempts to pick up and it was still broken…thankfully I wasn’t charged the diagnostic deposit after all the rigamarole.
Edit: I and my partner own the switch console you held for 5 weeks. We both documented our experience with your “repair service”. I also came into the shop w him to pick it up YESTERDAY (4/8/23) at 11am after ongoing issues with your multiple failed attempts at delivering the console back to him so we actually have had the pleasure of meeting and I’ve seen...
