Stellar hospitality and kindness on a grand scale. Booked a room online through the standard reservation system which doesn't have too many places for additional requests so we decided to do the best we could once we arrived. Arrived onsite a few minutes later and was greeted at the desk by Ginger. I asked if there was any possibility for an easier access shower as a priority over anything else. Physical limitations make a step in shower far easier. Not only did she say it should not be a problem she went to the room herself to make sure before making the adjustment to our booking.

On the website it listed electric vehicle plug-ins where available and I asked if they were available and how we could arrange for that as our onboard solar generator needed a boost for the next day. They got us hooked up no problem!

We live full time in a converted RV camper van and staying in a hotel and enjoying a long hot shower is a treat and Ginger and the staff were amazing. We had some issues with the room keys and Ginger and Sarah assisted until they worked correctly. We were given 2 beautiful coffee cups along with local hot teas for our stay.

The room was a delight and we felt like we were in a castle. Enjoyed hot showers, relaxing with some television, and then a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning. We were shopping in the gift shop for a few little things and a message was left for us by Ginger for the day shift that gave a both tears. Her kind words of our interaction and chats during check in will be with us forever. The morning staff gave us our gifts on the house too. We unplugged "our house" and left with the most amazing feeling from our stay in Bar Harbor. We will be back.

Every single member of the staff at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel was incredible. Our trip to Maine has been incredible and our stay in Bar Harbor...

I don't normally write reviews, but I had to write this one. Oh my gosh. We had such a great time at the Bar Harbor Grand. Our fam of 4 stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was great. The breakfasts were great. The front porch was great. The location was great. The ice cream socials in the afternoon and the 'smores in the evening were so fun and yummy. The town was great. But best of all were the people at the hotel; they all really made us feel like family. Rosemarie & Kanique were wonderful housekeepers. Made the room feel like new every day. And Lori & Keanna were awesome at breakfast. It felt like a B&B!! And different food every day! So great. And I cant believe I forgot the name of the guy working at breakfast! He was awesome. Employee of the Month! And the front desk folks were always so nice and helpful (Alecia, Yaicha, J'aime and Kara). But a special shout out to Neil and Dorene at the front desk. Oh my gosh. They felt like old friends that were vacationing with us. Gave us so many great tips and hints on what to do and see in the area. And Dorene, we love you. Dorene overheard me mention that I was trying to find a nice place for dinner for my wife's birthday. And the next day, she had a beautiful birthday gift waiting for her in our room. Talk about going above and beyond. Such a warm atmosphere here. We will definitely be coming back. Love the town of Bar Harbor as well, and Acadia. Just a...

My stay at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Arriving on their first night open for the season, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and outstanding service from the staff. They were not only helpful and friendly but also highly informative, providing valuable insights and recommendations about the area.

The common areas of the hotel exuded elegance and sophistication, creating a welcoming atmosphere. From the beautifully adorned lobby to the tastefully decorated lounges, every space reflected a sense of grandeur and charm.

The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. What stood out were the local art pieces and maps adorning the walls, adding a touch of authenticity and local flavor to the ambiance.

Amenities such as free parking and complimentary WiFi made the stay even more convenient. However, the highlight was undoubtedly the delicious breakfast spread with an array of options to choose from. Whether you prefer a hearty meal or something lighter, there was something to satisfy every palate.

Overall, my experience at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel left a lasting impression, and I have no doubt that I will return in the future. The combination of exceptional service, elegant decor, comfortable rooms, and fantastic amenities makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting the area. Highly recommended for a memorable and...

We wish we could give this hotel 10 stars! The hotel itself is nice, and very, very clean. The location is perfect - downtown, but a little away from the busiest areas; within walking distance of the town pier and harbor; and just across the street from one end of the Shore Path (an enjoyable walk!). The staff, though, are what truly make this place one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and full of smiles - Caleb greeted us when we first arrived and helped us to check in. His customer service, served with a big smile, was outstanding. All of the staff were great, but Teenia and Lori stand out even more for us! Teenia was one of the nicest people we've met after traveling many places. She lights up when she talks to guests to learn what she can do to help in any way. She's truly an asset to this hotel. And Lori - Lori went out of her way to accommodate us for breakfast when we arrived back at the hotel at 5:30am after having been to Cadillac Mountain for a sunrise we couldn't see due to the dense fog! Lori was terrific and helped make our stay exceptionally enjoyable and easy. We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here whenever we're in Bar Harbor!

Highly recommended. Super location with easy access to Main Street with restaurants, nice shops, and the shoreline walkway. Love the attention to detail for a wonderful experience. Examples are included in the photos - nice electrical covers in the rooms, naturally flavored water in the lobby, Starbucks coffee in the room, and much more. Nice clean, spacious rooms. The included breakfast has many options that are well prepared. Heated swimming pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking behind the hotel) street parking is metered.

They do have spring rates available around Memorial weekend. They do provide great options for their breakfast. Breakfast is available from 6:30am till 10am. They do have parking available here which is a plus. They have a nice area to sit and watch people with rocking chairs. They do give you umbrellas if it's raining and they do have a nice gift shop with sweaters if you forgot to pack one for a good price! I would come back here again for the price. Just book this place early.
