These cookies are baked not daily but HOURLY, and awaken you from your sleep, insisting you consume more like Jack Nicholson in The Shining. A wonderful shop in Bar Harbor, I recommend you purchase and consume when you arrive to town and again before departure, every day you can. Our party of two was on Mt. Desert Island for three days and six cookies were eagerly consumed. Little did we know with the first excursion to BH, we would visit The Sweet Bite daily. In addition to a fantastic, homemade product, the owner's were friendly and favorably contributed to the welcoming atmosphere of BH. The Early Bite is an additional recommended spot for breakfast eats, drinks, and friendly service, provided through lunch. Just don't think you won't still need a cookie - The Sweet Bite will be calling you with their Freshly baked, homemade, mountain sized cookies (the perfect amount for one person) with absolutely delicious flavor combinations to choose from. If you’re in Bar Harbor, Maine and have even the slightest sweet tooth, you must stop by Sweet Bite Cookie Shop. This little bakery is pure magic! From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh-baked cookies wraps around you like a warm hug.

The chocolate chip cookies are perfection—crispy edges, soft chewy centers, and just the right amount of gooey chocolate. Their oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and seasonal flavors (the blueberry lemon is to die for!) are just as incredible. Every cookie tastes like it was made with real butter, quality ingredients, and a whole lot of love.

I stopped by this sweet cookie shop tonight on my last night in Bar Harbor on vacation.

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I do love a good cookie… and I don't care for chocolate.

Fortunately, this shop could hook me up!

They had a white chocolate with pistachio, which was fabulous!

To be fully transparent, I only had five bites, but I was pretty full from dinner and it was pretty late at night

I have the rest wrapped up and I'm going to nibble on it on my several hour whale excursion and/or flight home tomorrow.

The cookie was tasty chewy (not crumbly) and I don't know which camp you're in, but for me a moist chewy cookie is the bomb !
