First it is a motel not a hotel. The doors are on the outside of the building. If you like being close to everything on the strip this is the perfect location, but it is just a little difficult to get into and out of. The front desk people were very nice. The hotel is a old motel that they have updating. We did not go into the pool but it looks very clean and refreshing. The outside was okay. It was clean but could still use some updates. The rooms themselves were very clean. The decor was somewhat retro but sub par. The beds however were HORRIBLE. My husband said he thinks the matresses were retro as well. They caved in the middle really bad and was way too soft and springy. If someone moved a little you both moved. We did not get a good nights sleep at all. Breakfast was supposed to be there at 7 or 7:30 but the 4 mornings we were there it was never there before 8am. We had it the 1st morning and it was in the front lobby. They had gravy, biscuits, potatoes, sausage and eggs. It was very good for a motel breakfast. If they were to get new mattresses we would stay there again. It was super cheap so I guess you get what...
Read moreI had such a great time at The Retro Hotel in Branson! From the moment I checked in, I could tell this place was special. You can see the new management is really putting their heart into making guests feel welcome. Shaneel greeted me with a big smile and made me feel right at home.
The room was spotless, fresh sheets, clean blankets, and pillow covers that looked and smelled brand new. The floors and counters were sparkling, and the bed was so comfy I slept better than I have in most hotels. That kind of cleanliness is rare and really made the whole stay relaxing.
The location is perfect too, close to all the main attractions, so it’s super easy to get around and enjoy Branson.
From the warm welcome to the spotless rooms, you can tell the staff really cares about the little details. It made my stay memorable, and I honestly can’t recommend The Retro Hotel enough. Clean, comfy, and welcoming, it’s a true...
Read moreAs someone who has stayed in various different types of hotels throughout the years, I will say this hotel is definitely worth the price for the area. It's a basic room in a very favorable location. The pool is fantastic and divided into sections with a 3 ft section, a 6ft section, and a 9 ft section. The breakfast is below average, but it's directly across the street from a Denny's and a Krispy Creams, and right next door to a great little Mexican restaurant. Service is fantastic from both the front desk and cleaners. We stayed three nights and it was the perfect mix of privacy and service. There is one drink vending machine downstairs and one ice machine. Overall, the price makes this an ideal location for smaller families coming to the area for a few...
