This was a perfect experience for my wife and I. An incredibly friendly gentleman with lots of knowledge of the area rented us our kayaks and we took them out for three hours. The kayak was nearly brand new (2018) and high quality. We saw dolphins and went to have lunch on Atsena Otie Key (a 20 min paddle out from the launch site). Thank you very much!

Overall great kayak experience. They take card, but have to call it in over the phone. Make sure to ask about the tides since the estuaries around cedar key tend to get shallow and you don’t want to get stuck. We had to help carry the kayaks which was a little cumbersome

After watching the dolphins play from the shore for a few days we decided to go paddle next to them. Del provided everything we needed for an amazing experience. Love Cedar Key and people like Del who make it such a wonderful place.

This place is great. It's the best thing about central Florida. Sherry and Tom and their staff are really friendly and helpful. Call ahead in the morning and they will let you know if the weather is right. We've been going there for years whenever we're in the area. It's really the only place near Gainesville that has warm calm ocean waters. Each island has its own different kind of beach, flora and fauna. We usually rent for 2-3 hours and have a great time. Cedar Key has a microclimate, that is usually sunnier than inland, so when it's dreary in Central Florida, you can pretend to be in the Carribean at Cedar Key on one of the islands, usually with no one else around. You feel like you're on a desert isle in the middle...

My friend and I recently came across Tom Liebert/Kayak Cedar Keys while visiting this beautiful part of Florida. We had no intentions of kayaking. But Tom was so informative, accommodating and made us a wonderful offer for a 2 hour rental on a touring kayak. Just perfect for our needs. One of the key highlights of our trip. Tom made it possible. Thank...

If you are looking to paddle around Cedar Key, this is the spot to do it from. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and a great guy to talk to. We have rented a number of times and eventually purchased a used kayak from these guys - we love it. We recommend rentals to all of our friends who visit Cedar Key. If you want to go early, call ahead and they will...
