Short answer: just go!!!

I have worked in wine industry so I tend to look up wine list and that’s how I found tippling house. They truly offer such an unique curated list that is SO fun. I highly recommend letting them pick the wine for you (just tell them what you like, don’t like, and what food you’re ordering). I came in on a whim and the vibes were so good I came back twice in one weekend with my mom. I also just moved here and visited solo by myself and again, the staff made my experience A+. I can’t recommended them enough!!

Also the food is DELIGHTFUL!!

And wine can be super expensive, I really appreciate that on top of having cheaper BTG options, they do a weekly special on their $$$$ bottles. I got a glass of a incredibly unique french wine (sells over $200-300 a bottle) for $19. Again, great way to...

My girlfriend and I have had the pleasure of dining at The Tippling House on multiple occasions since they opened up. Even if we have dinner plans elsewhere in town, we almost always stop in for a glass of wine before heading anywhere else. The service is remarkable and honestly some of the best we’ve gotten on the peninsula. The small plates here are just perfect for a little snack and a few drinks, and all of the staff is incredibly versed on all of the wine their menu offers. I feel like we learn something every time we go lol. Whether you are going for dinner or just popping in for a glass of wine, this is a must try location in downtown Charleston. Also if you can get there before they’re sold out, the burritos they have next door at the press during lunch are insane. Make sure you get both the red and...

Stopped here for some wine after dinner and found it to be a little gem. It’s small but they offer both bar seating and have some tables available towards the back. It was quaint but very inviting. I’m so sorry if I got your name wrong but I think it was Nicole? She was very friendly and told us about their specials and I love that they print a new menu daily as they rotate a lot of their wines. There was an option to do a “half bottle” which gets you just a touch more than a glass so we thought that was perfect for the two of us for just under $40. We got a nice and chilled Gamay and enjoyed our conversations with her. I definitely want to come back and try their food! It’s a nice place for a date, girls night or even if you want to sit alone at the bar. The team there makes you...

What an adorable place and great experience! We happened upon The Tippling House as we were walking down Coming Street. Madison, the bartender, impressed us with her knowledge of wines and vintners. We ordered two small plates--Tarvin Picklef Shrimp Salad (our favorite local shrimper) and a Lion's Mane Mushroom with Morita Pepper puree and herbed oil. Fabulous first experience with Lion's Mane Mushrooms! We enjoyed our wine, food, and amiable conversation with Madison and Nicole and meeting Chef Micah. Definitely coming back again and also added to our list o of places to bring out of town guests.
