Just finished a weekend get away at this hotel and it was fantastic. The staff is wonderful and they really seem to care about the guests and their needs. We saw the same faces over and over again, and this created a very friendly and cohesive service environment. There were none of the usual “dropped balls” we have experienced even in other high-end hotels. The facility is beautiful and rooms are very quiet. Frette linens were much appreciated -the beds were extremely comfortable.
The location is great, tucked away in what feels like a private little corner of the city, and there are so many cozy spots to hang out and curl up in this hotel. It’s really the perfect size. The rooftop bar is wonderful and again, the staff there is top notch. We never had anything that wasn’t exceptional. The room service menu is somewhat limited on weekends vs weekdays (which seems odd) but the food and service were great each time we did order, and the in-room tablet made this seamless. The SUV and driver service for guests was also exceptionally friendly and extremely professional. (It also saved us a lot on Ubers!)
Most of all, this hotel is very dog friendly. Not just dog tolerant, but actively dog friendly. We had our two very large dogs with us on this stay and people were unfailingly lovely about them. There is a newly renovated park right across the street that makes dog walking from the hotel an actual pleasure as opposed to a chore.
Cannot say enough good things about our stay. Thanks and we will...
Read moreGreat rooftop bar with river view and spectacular sunset location. Highly recommend arriving early and plan on spending some money on the amazing drink menu. The payoff is being there when the sunsets and they open the doors to make the inside seating outside seating. You won't be disappointed, and the food is decent as well. The service is what really shines here. Even when very busy and short handed the staff makes sure to attend to everyone equally and ensure satisfaction is a premium. Rooftop bars are the new norm but this one stands out for location...
Read moreCame in after dinner. Saw they had a classic martini, which is one of my favorites. I ordered it but specified that I prefer mine 2:1 gin to vermouth. The bartender asked "dirty?". I responded 'no, with a twist', which seemed odd considering the menu has orange bitters which is normally not done in a dirty martini. I then watched him pour vodka in a shaker that I hoped wasn't mine. It was. It wasn't terrible, but, the default for a martini should be gin...
