Gold Star — Restaurant in Covington

Covington GSC!!!!! What happened? The wonderful lady at the window was awesome! She was fast, and friendly! But the person who made the food accidentally put mustard and onions on my coney. Things happen. I understand. However I got on the highway and several exits away before I realized it wasn’t the way I ordered it per the receipt. Order/check # 50050. I was on my way back to work. This lunch cost me $21.76 plus double the gas and time. And I’ll be working late to make up some of that time. the wonderful lady from the drive thru met me at the counter, listened apologized and said she will get them remade. I let her tell the person remaking them and when she came back I asked if she could do anything for the extra time and gas I used coming back. The nice lady told me I’d have to ask the manager. I looked over where she was looking, and I presumed the manager who wasn’t dealing with another customer would come over. The lady got the managers attention to let her know I would like to speak to her she said “I’ll be over in a second.” Well about 5 seconds after that they handed me my order made properly. I looked over at the manager again. I couldn’t tell what she was doing she was not with a customer or other employee, I just left. I felt they could care less if I were there or ever came back. So now I’ll be working late, I had to have someone pick up my child and everything. That’s a big inconvenience for a cheese coney. You would think someone would tell them how to make a customer want...

I've never been to a Gold Start Chilli before today. I was greeted apon entering thru the door. Sat down and server got my drink order within seconds. Pepsi products are a plus but not mandatory. The mountain dew seemed mixed right and spot on. Unlike gas station fouintan pop, where they skimp on the syurp.

When my food was presented to me, all items were correct. With a allergy to onions I was thankful. I had a double decker turkey and bacon sandwitch, with cheadder cheese. I don't recall what the sandwitch was called. Also had to get two signature coney dogs, w/o onion. The sandwich had a good amount of meat, lots of bacon and was quite filling. The coney dogs looked like the picture and tasted good as well.

Refill of my drink was prompt. Which added to the pleasant visit. My visit was going so well, I ordered a orange shake to go.

This was my first time at the Covington, KY #goldstar chili location. It was late afternoon on a rainy Saturday. The drive thru line wasn't busy. I waited less than a minute before being greeted. I ordered a single chili cheeseburger with onion and mustard and the regular size order of fries. I was at the window getting my food in less than 4 minutes. There was cheese piled high and a decent amount of chili on my burger. And it smelled wonderful but It was a little less chili than I was used to getting on other previous chili cheeseburgers. The burger patty was big. The fries were crinkle cut, crispy and delicious. They could have used just a little more salt though. This location is open to dine in business now.
