A brutally honest review? Well, you’ll get it from me.
It is hard to get them on the phone. Sometimes it just rings and rings, and they have even hung up on me once or twice. I would call right back. I am staying at a nearby hotel for work, I have been for 5months, so I’ve ate here a lot. Once I placed an order online, only to immediately receive an email stating they didn’t have drivers. That refund seriously took a month! That was extreme. It wasn’t them, but the pay system that they use. I haven't placed an online order with them since. Beware of that. It really took a month. We inquired about it often, and they didn’t have any explanation. Edited to add: I see someone else also had this happen. Beware when ordering at night on their website. They won’t inform you that they can’t deliver until AFTER you have paid, and it takes weeks to receive your refund back.
This place gets BUSY! You should always call your order in ahead of time. Once I waited nearly 45mins for my order when I placed it in restaurant. If you call to place an order any time after 9, they will inform you that they close at 10, so make sure that you’re there. They will close immediately at 10.
Have you tried their funnel fries?! Oh my! Don’t bother ordering those at Skyline. Walk next door to this place and order them. They are SO much better, and they give you more sugar, and more in your order. Skyline barely gives any, just a tiny pinch.
The hoagies? Yummy. The pizza? Way better than Dominoe’s flat board dough. The salads aren't anything to brag about, but if you’re in the mood, they can satisfy that.
The MacNCheese bowls? Oh boy! That’s probably my favorite item. We order those a lot; often. With extra cheese.

I showed up in 30 minutes ,ended up waiting an additional 25 minutes for my food only to find out after all this time waiting they told me they didn't have two of my three appetizers , this is 25 minutes after paying.Another ten minutes goes by because nobody knew how to perform a refund on my appetizers,all the while I'm standing there with my food as it gets cold.l asked her to cut a triangle cut, the lady told the cook to cut a triangle cut in front of me three times and he still cut it square cut .Fried mushrooms were terrible they were full of water and tasted like tobacco, from Restaurant Depot no doubt. Pizza was terrible crust way too thick and undercooked,pre-made then frozen I'm guessing by the taste, plenty of cheese but hardly any other toppings. I can't get a refund because she didn't give me a receipt and I paid cash. First time I was there I got a steak hoagie and was eating it in the dining room ,they had forgotten to put tomatoes on it which I asked for so I took it up to the register to the lady who handles the cash and told her the problem she reaches over and pinches my steak hoagie patty and liftd it up with bare, cash handling hands to look under it to make sure I wasn't lying about the tomatoes.I will never come back to this place again it's freaking disgusting I've been here before and I wasn't happy the last time either, place is filthy,floor and bathrooms are nasty,the waitstaff upfront does not care about you or your food, the guys cooking are slow and totally lost at what they're doing. I've lived here for 15 years and I've had problems with riverfront for a long time. I even boycotted ordering here for a year.
The best experience is so sit on the bar side while you have a beer and order your food, the bartender has always been nice. The people behind the counter are typically rude and genuinely don't seem to care about your service or time. I've called in an order before and was told 20 minutes for pick up. Show up at 15 mins, been told an additional 20, and ended up waiting for 40.
What brought me here is really a combination of years of issues but my order tonight took me over the top. But, as frustrated as I am, I don't think it's entirely their fault. I made an online order through Slice, which I've done many times. My order was confirmed at 6:37 and had an estimated delivery of 6:56-7:11. I check their tracker at some point and it shows "On its way. Estimated delivery 7:12". At 7:43 I reached out to the 3rd party company (Slice) saying I'm still waiting, they called and I was told it's on its way. I asked how long has it been on its way and was told the driver just left. I received my food at 7:59, which I believe was 5 or so minutes after I was told the driver left.
The place is always busy and I assume tonight was no different, but, someone needs to communicate between the restaurant and this 3rd party company on true delivery averages so that they can adjust them accordingly. If I made the order and they estimated 1 hour and 22 minutes, I would have went elsewhere.
