Partner and I have been to a couple events at the Symphony now and although we’ve had good times, it hasn’t been perfect.
You know parking is bad when you get called the day before the event and they leave a prerecorded message warning you how bad traffic is. We arrived over 30 minutes before the event and still managed to miss the first two songs of the performance. Cannot be understands how bad the traffic and parking is in this area. Go early! Also there is very limited food once you’re in. Unfortunately this means coming from up north (Thornton) becomes difficult to make it home, change, and show up in time. Be warned show up early and expect to pay $12-30 for parking.
The venue itself is wonderful. The lighting is amazing, as are the acoustics. We saw the orchestra and it was superb and wonderful. We also recently saw Pink Martini and had a wonderful time. Sitting closer to the stage made it hard to get a full appreciation for the orchestra, but it was still a good time. The chairs are also a little on the uncomfortable side being a little tough on the back.
All in all a great venue and...
Read moreI've spent a lot of money with Colorado Symphony. I regret nothing. I've had more Good Times going to hear this incredible Symphony play, entertaining me to ends that I cannot even believe. I've used Symphony tickets as a gift for weddings, birthdays, whatever! The symphony in Colorado is one of the best I've heard and I've lived around the world I've heard the London Symphony, and honestly the Denver symphony is better. Support your local Symphony the Arts are not something that we should deny anyone access to. Especially children. I'm a big supporter of the symphony and of Arts in general but if you have not had a chance to hear the symphony in real time. To hear the symphony the way it was meant to be heard, in real time, in real life, you have not lived. The Denver Symphony in my book is the best deal in Denver, in the best evening out you will ever have in your life. My husband and I might not always get along, but when it comes to the symphony we are of one mind. That mind is this! Go to...
Read moreI just had a very disappointing experience with Colorado Symphony Orchestra. We've been buying tickets to multiple events over the past 5-10 years were excited recently when we bought a ticket voucher at a charity event.
We had trouble finding a show that we were excited about and could attend before the expiration but just found one. When I called to use the voucher they would not allow me to use it. I explained that we've been loyal customers and told our friends how great the symphony is, and that this was truly the only event we were excited about and could attend in the timeframe. I asked that they grant an exception due to this. Megan was polite and told me she checked but they did not allow it. She was unable to provide a reason for the policy, just that the policy existed.
I'm very disappointed at the inflexibility, the apparent lack of care for consistent and loyal customers. I will think twice before encouraging friends to attend or charities to offer this product...
